That Was Yesterday

How is everyone today? I woke at 3:13 this morning and considered not going to the pool. However, I have a goal in mind, so I went and had a great workout in the pool and fitness center. I did find out I can't work on the leg curl machine. I can't get the thing to move with my legs so that one is out. I did work the leg press and that one is going well and I should be increasing my number from 50 to 60 soon. I did 48 lengths in the pool, my best yet. I got home, ate my HAM breakfast and settled here and was in the middle of posting the Health blog when my neighbor came to get directions for an interview she had. The map was more confusing than I expected. Finding this place took creativity. I guess I had that this morning. At least I knew where it was, even if I didn't know how to get there. It was one of those behind buildings and finding the right driveway to get there was interesting, to say the least. I got it on the third try. My plan was to show her how to get there then come home and let her go on her own. However, by the time we got there, there wouldn't have been time to drive home and her return. So we went into the interview. She was seen right away, despite being early. I met a wonderful woman who is part of the foster grandparent program my friend applied for at Encompass Day Care. She told me what she does besides working there. She works for Brown County Human Resources and picks up children from all over the state who are in foster care and brings them for a visit to their parents. She related a story about one little girl who has a good imagination. When she asked questions about an incident the cheeky five-year-old simply said, That was yesterday. The woman told me that though my friend was interviewing there, she could work at any of the other Encompasses in Green Bay. She told me where one is and I showed her where it was, close to our apartment complex. It's a beautiful house turned into a daycare. After that, I continued down the street and showed her where Bay Beach is; the Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Children's Museum that I didn't know about, but learned from the woman it had moved out there by Bay Beach. Then I showed her my favorite park. The one in the picture above. I was surprised to see how high the water was, but shouldn't have been with all the rain we've had. Time to come home and get work done, and finish, re-wrote, the post I was working on. I guess they don't last very long if you don't finish them before you're taken away from the computer. That was my morning. I didn't have any plans so it worked out perfect for both of us. How is your Monday? Thanks for reading.
