Good Morning 8/20 Rampaging Kitty

So, I have decided to ignore kitty's temper tantrums in the morning. Actually, I have been doing it for a few weeks, they are better, but this morning he started rampaging..and deciding I should get up before it was light to fill his already overflowing food dish, clean his spotless litter pan, give him sparkling water when he has plenty or play with him. Well Mister, you can wait until mommy gets up! I see no reason to get out of bed at 530 AM to do any of the above. I also saw they have thrown another mystery shop my way, that I did not particularly want. I had a big issue with it before when I was assigned to it. I thought once I told them it wasn't on my map..they would let it go..but oh no..

Kitties can be so demanding. 5:30 Am is just entirely too early.

@ScribbledAdNauseum He thinks we should be up to watch the sun rise together or something..lol. Sometimes they just like to watch food flowing in their dish whether they have it or not.

@snowy22315 You know I don't have any cats of my own, but when I stay with friends I sleep in their living room where the animals are. It's not the dogs that wake me up, but the cats with their antics. It's not food though as they have one of those gravity dishes that bring food down as the bowl empties.

I told them I wanted to cancel it, because I hadn't really wanted it in the first place..they want me to try leaving a message for her..I think they may know I am a mystery shopper..but before I am pretty sure they didn't..and didn't call in a timely manner. Sigh! I will give her 24 hours..if no call, bye bye. honestly, this can get pretty aggravating at times. Sometimes it is quite easy to reach who you want and other times it is an endless time wasting loop.

Can you turn them down? I was accepted for it quite awhile ago but never did it because the places were not right or someone got to the ones I could do before I responded. Good for you telling about kitty.

Not sure...I have mixed feelings..I am considering it though. I might try fostering one and see if he gets along with it, if he does, I could adopt it.

I have been trying..course when he does the meowing at night I play him to distract him. He was pretty hard to ignore in the morning before because he would be attacking my feet, but he hasn't done much of that recently.

Yes, he is trying his best. I just have to work on total non reinforcement though. Anytime you deviate from the pattern he is going to look at it as a win and keep demanding.
