I finally finished that book I was plodding through. All I can say is that woman is wasting her talents. She is a born soap opera writer. Anybody who has as vivid and wacky as imagination as she does should be writing for the Young and Restless or something. Too bad most soaps are defunct now..She would have been perfect for them. Writer of far fetched plots..raise your hands....

I was never really into soaps..but I did watch Guiding Light for awhile. My mother used to watch As the World Turns, and Edge of Night. Unless you count Dark Shadows that is..I loved that!

Well glad you finished the book. There is always youtube.. Even if soaps are going defunct, there are always skits and things like that. She could offer her talents to those who have the talent for film.

Most films aren't quite as crazy as the book ended up being. The whole thing still isn't clear to me even now..but it seems an evil sociopath was setting them all up for entertainment. i know, she could write for Lifetime Movies. Some of them are pretty out there.

@snowy22315 Ah, that sounds like a book that I wouldn't quite like. If there's too much going on at once, I tend to stay away from it. Unless everything is clear to me from the beginning, that is.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It seemed interesting in the beginning, and then it took a crazy turn like other free kindle books I have read.

@snowy22315 I cannot say that they are longer than needed, but they are surely long.

Something kept me hooked into the story despite how bizarre it became. I guess that is the craft of a good writer. I read another one something like this that was nutso...completly nuts. I still finished it. It didn't get crazy until the middle.

Yeah, they had their place, but with most people working during the day and the cable channels..I guess there are a lot of choices now.

Good point she may have been one to write for soaps if they were as popular as they used to be.

I am glad she has this outlet though because I think her day job is writing corporate newsletters. That can't be too thrilling for her.

I still watch General Hospital every day so I'm very familiar with the twists, turns and sometimes very far fetched story lines.

I feel compelled to finish a book no matter how long it takes. Sometimes they do seem to be fashioned to be soap operas. Too bad there aren't many of them out there anymore.
