to take care of my health more than last year. This is something I will really do now seriously. As per my doctor, I have a hypertension, still uncontrolled without any symptoms which is much worrisome and riskier. They took my BP 2 times with almost same high result (1st-168/110, 2nd-175/110). A new medicine was given to change depending upon the result of my blood work. I will go to the laboratory for extraction on Tuesday morning, need to fast for that. I will also be needing to lose the weight now. It is a necessity and of high importance.

All of us should do the same - to take care of our health as best we can period. I am trying to do it through food (not exactly a diet but through eating healthier) and exercise. My friend learned she had hypertension a few years back - I think she was told to cut the salt and find ways to de-stress. Hope all goes well with the blood work!

Thank you. My salt intake is not that much, my previous blood work showed borderline in cholesterol but other than that all normal. I am not sure this time around

@rakski I wonder what the culprit is. I guess sometimes it's just hereditary too. In any case, I hope you can find the right path to better health - all of us!!

@much2say I am more of thinking lack of sleep is one of the culprit

Hypertension is a reflection of our life style that we had been doing for years like food, stress, sleep etc..and it also has a genetic and hereditary factor to it. Change of lifestyle for the good is a big plus factor in controlling it in my opinion.

Do you have a lot of salt in your diet? Sodium is a cause of high blood pressure. Not the only cause, but one that does. Good luck on losing the weight.
