Good Morning 3/17 Happy St. Patrick's Day, wear Blue!

I just heard that blue was the color associated with the original St. Patrick's Day. It changed somewhere along the way to be associated with the Irish Independence movement. I wish it was a normal year and all we had to think about was wearing green, and making something Irish for dinner. Well, I did buy some Guiness a few days ago. Anyway, have a great day! Anything Irish planned?

I had totally forgot that today is St.Patrick, we do not celebrate here in Europe, only Ireland celebrates, at least I think they celebrate.

For some reason it is usually a very big day in this country. The US celebrates it more than the Irish!

@LadyDuck Yeah, I had an Irish guy tell me it was not as a big a "holiday" as here.

@snowy22315 I am pretty sure that you celebrate more, I have asked to our myLotter Fiacre if they celebrate in Ireland, I am waiting to know.

@DianneN Yeah, I was wondering if I should wear gloves when I go out tomorrow, but I heard there are only 67 cases statewide. I like those odds, but of course probably not everyone has been tested.

It seems like it. Our state hasn't been impacted as much as others..but some more things could be coming down the pike I guess.

I didn't even realize it was St. Patricks Day. I'm Irish and not even wearing green today (or blue except for my pants). With the focus being on the virus it's taken over everything. Gee I can't believe I forgot today is St. Patricks Day

We wouldn't have forgotten it, if it was a normal year.

I just heard it this morning. When Alexa gives a daily news report, they put a history blurb or two in there.
