It is a great adjustment for him

My husband arrived home from work very tired. He went to the bank and bought some stuff. Going to the bank is always part of his job for payrolls and so on. But the two-month lockdown, made this routine a tiring thing to do. When he arrived home, he ate, we did bible study, talked for a bit, especially on dogs and now he is snoring. I gave him leg and foot massages as he said they hurt a lot. I told him that his body is adjusting. Sooner or later, he will be alright. Do you have the same feeling now that you are back to work?

I’m sure your husband is exhausted. We are lucky that we’re retired and don’t have to work. Both my sons can work from home, thank goodness.

@JohnRoberts That’s how he keeps out of trouble. No boat!

But the hubby has the exhausting job of martini maker and convincing that a boat is the ideal getaway from it all!

I don't have a regular job, but I understand the ache your husband is going through. When I first started as a stock clerk (heavy lifting, constant motion) it took two weeks for my muscles to build and get used to it.

Oh, that was hard. When you have muscle sore it is hard to.do even the household chores. You know what, I would rather have irregular job than working for a company, it steals your freedom.

@Janet357 I agree with you there. I quit my job at that place because I felt that my manager was taking credit for my work. He was also giving me fewer hours. I am much poorer, but I am happier earning money online.

I am afraid I might be doing something like that in the coming days as my boss has started to make arrangements for us to report to office any time of the day. We’re hoping that the transition will be smooth as management is looking at more employees will be staying at home whole this pandemic is ongoing.

Retired here. I am sure that your husband will get used to it. At the beginning, it is always tiresome.
