Home service veterinarian

We are lucky to have found a vet that makes home service. In the picture is the son of the original vet who comes for our dogs. Now it seems that the father has retired so the son is taking over. The expense is more, of course, but it is very convenient that the vet comes instead of us bringing our dog to the clinic.

I need to get Kobe's latest immunization shot, very soon.

@Alexandoy I get cards in the mail, but still have to make an appointment and transport Kobe to their office.

It is not easy to make a home service to the patients so we understand the service charge.

Most of my vets have made house calls. Of course I need vets for large animals.

I know that a vet for big animals would do home service. My wife's brother is a horse trainer and they have a vet going to the stable once in a while.

@Alexandoy I often schedule the dog vaccines with the horses and goat treatments. They just bring it all at one time. Actually saves me money by doing that as I pay the farm call instead of 2 or 3 office visits too.

@wolfgirl569 that is the most practical, one visit and every animal is treated.

@JudyEv yes, he saved our first dog from distemper at 5 years old. Then he was also the one who administered lethal injection to the same dog when it was 10.

@Alexandoy So you've been his clients for a very long time. He would know your dogs inside out, so to speak.

That is the advantage. We just stay home and the vet comes. It is not easy to bring the dogs to the clinic.

It will be very convenient for you to have that service since you wouldn’t need to travel to them anymore. l guess that’s part of the new normal changes that vets will now have to be the one going to their clients than the owners are.

Very nice to have a service like that. Why do you have prison bars around everything in the photo? Are you trying to keep your wife from escaping from you?

Those bars were installed by the previous owner. It is a waste to remove it so we just let it be. There were burglars during those time before we came here. Now there are no more burglars maybe because they know of my martial arts reputation. Waheehee.
