Do you sleep a lot when you are ill?

I don't have the mood for food that all I want to do is drink, drink and drink more coffee. But drinking too much coffee can lead to acidity. I woke up late today because I was not feeling well. There was nothing so important to do, so I gave myself the luxury to sleep as much as I wanted. Do you sleep a lot when you are ill?

@freelancermariagrace I could not sleep last because of my period. Our hemoglobin drops when we have period so this is the reason why i cannot.sleep at night when I have it.

Sleep can help your body rested and energized. It also helps the body to focus on defense mode when you are sleeping.

@Janet357 Yeah we have our own sets of tolerance our body can handle. As we grow older it weakens as we reached those age. That is why we need to rest and have a good quality sleep everytime it is our bedtime and during the day and you feel sleepy if you can power nap it would be better for your body.

yes. It really does strengthen our immune system. Do you notice it that when we have no good sleep for at least 2 days we get colds?

It is better to sleep and rest when we are unwell. Gives the body time to recover.

Yes, it happens mostly and sometimes while we ill we try to sleep but not able to sleep. With sleeping, I think we feel comfortable and also become well soon.

If I did not get much sleep one night, the next evening the lack of sleep I missed is made up.

@Janet357 Sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you are feeling better today. I go to bed early if I do not feel well and try to sleep the length of time I want to. I stay up but may just lay on the couch to rest and watch TV.
