The Usual

Last month I was thinking of what if I stuck to posting daily on mylot. Even though I have nothing to post about yet cause I have not come up with a great idea to talk about because I have been locked up for the past 6 months, unbelievable isn't it? But yes! Oh guys, I am so happy to announce that my neighborhood will be no longer in confiment. According to the authorities from next Monday starting at 5 am. Oh my God I can't believe I can go out for a walk! Are you allowed to be outside in your area guys? Picture by Google Image.

That is wonderful news!!!! Freedom and fresh air! We left Florida for our house up north. We live in a quiet neighborhood with lots of land. Hubs and I enjoy taking walks and hanging out in the yard. We don't even need a mask, because we don't see people. If we do, we cross the street. Enjoy!!!!! I feel your happiness!

@DianneN I will do it pleasantly! Besides if I am able to go outside I will have many stories to tell here because Chile, specifically Santiago de Chile has so many huge malls, sceneries, parks etc.

I literally screamed when I saw the news! I might sound like I am over reacting but people weren't allowed to be outside if it wasn't for grocery shopping, going to work (for the lucky ones), among others, except to go for a walk, jog, etc. Thanks for feeling my happiness Dianne! You are a really special lady, thank you!

We were never "stuck" exactly . . . we were always able to walk outside and go anywhere - but at some point it did get official that we had to wear a mask. Wow, were you literally in your home only for 6 months? My goodness well I hope you thoroughly enjoy being able to go outside again! But please continue to stay safe and well!

@jvicentevalera I know it was that way with many friends around the world. You needed a "pass" in order to be out - and being out meant only for essentials. Here, we had no such thing - though we were encouraged not to go out as much as possible (but you just know people did anyway). We could go anywhere - and if laws were restricting in one county but not in another, people went to hang out in that less restrictive area. We had more freedom but are paying for it - all this mixing of too many people everywhere spread the virus even more - and this is still going on.

Well, not literally 6 month, I went out to the grocery store, and came back home. However I only went once a month, and it isn't that far. We were not able to be outside because there was a document that one had to download which allowed me to be outside legally, if I got caught by the cops without the document I could have ended up in jail, or paying a fine. Thing is that such document is only meant to be used for grocery shopping, medication, medic appointment, or work, nothing else and any citizen can download it twice a week!

@much2say That's the way how to call it. I did not come with the word "pass" by the way I wonder, do you think that if the authorities in the USA had come with an idea of a "pass" to go out things would be different now, or the same?

Six months in confinement! Wow, bring a cane when you go out walking. You might get dizzy. Yup, here in my area, walking is allowed.

@jvicentevalera Best buddies ever - doggies. Ever loyal, ever true. Humans don't deserve dogs. Sigh.

Enjoy your freedom!! I'm sure getting out for a walk will feel awesom. We have the freedom to be out but have to wear masks if we're going to be near other people.

Thanks. Your advise is really helpful. Luckily on Monday the confiment is over which means I will be able to be out, wearing masks as demanded but we're free to go outside at least for walks!

That's great. Even such a small thing as going for walk assumes enormous importance when you haven't done it for ages. We're allowed out pretty much everywhere now but we're supposed to social distance.

Oh Judy, I am so glad that you were able to go out. In Chile, we needed a "pass" to go out, however it was not meant to be use to go for a walk but grocery shopping, etc

In my area there is no lockdown but you know, almost everything is closed, so even though it can be a way out but there is not much I can do, right now I only focus on attending lectures at home
