Almost Friday

Happy Thursday Everyone! it's a partly sunny start to this morning. We had a thunderstorm last night but today it looks pretty decent outside.
The lawn crew is here today which is weird because they are usually here on Wed. There's no sleeping once they arrive and they're better than an alarm clock 
So here I am ready or not!!
My daughter went to work today so it's just me and the pups. They're having some sort of computer and phone issues so she would be able to get more done at home rather than in the office but since her boss is a nut she went to work. I pray every day that she finds a new job somewhere somehow.
Anyway, my day will be pretty routine.
I'm back into the reading mode. I haven't been reading much since quarantine as my mind would just wander and I would find myself not even retaining what I had read. But I decided that I miss my books and started a new one on Monday. I'm about half way through and am enjoying getting into a good book once again.
Now I'm going to have my coffee and see what's going on here.

I feel so much better today and yes I slept very well. I don't know what happened to me yesterday but I was just out of sorts all day long.

I feel like today was super long.
By the time that the end of the week gets here I am so exhausted, getting up at 4am is hard on this ole girl. Even the coffee didn't make a significant difference today.
I napped after work, its late getting here, but better late then never.

@Marilynda1225 It is very hard, but if I keep to a schedule where I go to bed super early, then it is doable. My days are awfully long in comparison to when you work a few hours later but I can get SO much accomplished between 2pm and bedtime, so that is why I like those hours.

Yes, I remember your daughter's boss. That is too bad she cannot work at home now. I hope she finds something that she will like with a good boss. I love to read but do not read a lot during the day. I read on Saturday which is our Sabbath because not on the computer or watching TV.

My daughter has a boss that has no common sense. Aside from that her commute is ridiculous but as much as she's looking for a new job it's hard to find one. I'm just praying something comes up so she can quit working at her current job.

The best way to keep one's mind busy is by reading. I always do it and as a non-native speakers it helps me to widen my vocabulary when I read in English.

Happy Thursday. I've mostly been watching things rather than reading. I used to be such a bookworm, too. I may get another Louise Penny inspector Gamache book. I've only read the first three, but I did enjoy the series.
I suspect now isn't the time to be looking for a new job, so I commend your daughter for just doing what she has to do for now. I hope they are able to distance and stay safe if she has to be at a workplace, though. My son and daughter in law are still working at home. My son's job has always been from home, and my daughter in law was able to set up a nice little office space in the guest room. (Thank goodness they have a guest room!)

My daughter only goes into the office 2 days a week and yes they do social distance. The other days she works from home so she doesn't have that horrible commute. Right now they're having major phone and internet issues at the office so she can't use her computer or phone but if she was home she would be able to use both. Her boss has no common sense.
Yes it's hard to find a job these days especially when she is considering a totally different career path.
I wish my daughter could find a job where she worked from home every day. That would be ideal.
Sounds like your son and daughter in law have been able to make this working from home work for them.

It takes them hours to finish since it's a big community but it only bothers me when I'm asleep and they wake me up.
