What things are priceless to you and more precious than money.

Someone here thinks money is the most important thing. I disagree. For example money could not buy....... 1.the relationship I have with my husband after all these years - we are still friends and talk long into the night. 2. the love of my grandbaby - he runs to me and excitedly tells me news about his day. 3. the love and friendship of my friend who is more like my sister. I'm interested in what others consider important. Is this really a material world?

I totally agree with you. I would not trade the relationship I share with my parents, My uncles and aunts, My grandmother, my brother and my cousins with any money. I treasure my Best friends trust and friendship more than any treasure of this world. All those people who think that moiney can buy anything and emotions are all crap, never find peace in this world.

The health, safety & happiness of my family and myself, friendship, love...these things would top my list. Money is nice to have, but it cannot buy any of the things listed above. My youngest son was born with a congenital heart defect. Three years, two open heart surgeries and 750 thousand dollars later he still doesn't have his health fully restored. Hopefully after another 1 or 2 surgeries his heart will be fixed, but there is no guarantee.

Thank you for your response. This is a classic example of something that money alone cannot fix. I hope everyone reads your post and is inspired by your strength and courage. It cannot be easy for any of you to go through this. My heart and prayers are with your family and son.

Thank you for your response. Can't cuddle up to gold. Gold can't comfort you when you are feeling down. Better rethink that one. Do you have a significant other? Family? Friends?

My family, my health, my children, my salvation, I could go on and on. Money is nice and it does make life easier sometimes but it is certainly not the most important thing.

Thank you for your response. Take those precious ones away and all the money in the world would mean nothing.

My family. My children mean everything to me and I wouldn't trade them for all the money in the world.

My family whose always been there and supported me financially and kept my head on straight. My friends whose always been there for me and supported me through thick and thin, no matter what, they've backed me up. My dog...he lets me cuddle up to him and knows when I'm feeling bad and stays close by. He's like my baby.

I love my family and my wife of course. I would not put anything in front of them. I do have material things that are very sentimental as well though. When I was going through a rough time in my life my grandmother gave me a rosary and I never got a gift like this and I took to it. I wore it and never took it off EVER. I have had it on for many years I forget how long now but this is one example of a material object that means alot. I like collectables to I would not ever sell or give away.

Thank you for your response. You love your wife and family. Other things play an important role in your life. This is healthy. Sounds like the rosary is a way of staying close to your grandmother. That is nice and I am sure she would be very pleased. The important thing is money is not "the" most important thing in your life. Even tho you have no intention of selling your collectables, you probably have quite a valuable collection. That is just the way these things go. There is an expression, "Do the thing you love, and the money will follow."
