Amy Coney Barrett is not a Rhodes scholar

Trump's press secretaries have been notorious liars and this new one is no different from her predecessors. Kayleigh Mac-somethingorother told the press that recent Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett is a "Rhodes Scholar". Rhodes scholarships are prestigious ones to Oxford University in England. Amy Coney Barrett earned her Bachelor's Degree from Rhodes College in Tennessee. She is NOT a Rhodes scholar. That being said she graduated from Notre Dame law school at the top of her class. No one is saying that she wasn't an excellent student or isn't intelligent. I don't know why the Press Secretary felt the need to come up with such a stupid and easily refutable lie. And they say that the PRESS provides "fake news".

Good-of-you to reveal some of the administration's hypocrisy. But (and here I go almost 'defending it') What difference does it make? If she went to a school, is she NOT a Scholar? If the school's name was Rhodes, is she NOT a Rhodes Scholar? Me---I went to OCU, but I've never even SEEN Oklahoma Christian Unioversity. Yet, I can say I was an OCU Scholar; since I went to school at Oklahoma City University.

She is a Rhodes scholar. Did they say Oxford England? They and you are mincing words.

Probably just a communication mistake as she went to Rhodes University. I doubt they'd purposely lie about something so onviously checkable.
