In my neck of the woods, it's the start on the Halloween season. :) Are things going to be a little different this year? Yes. Are we going to let it spoil our season? Nope. There's more to the Halloween season for us then Trick-or-Treating. We watch horror movies (and family-friendly Halloween movies, like Hocus Pocus and Casper), we decorate, and there are still local places hosting events in a safe manner (masks, distancing, half capacity, etc.). Basically, we celebrate all month. :) Right now, I'm watching the original Halloween (Michael Myers) from 1978. I'm also waiting for my coffee to cool a little, and I'm working on my Fiverr orders. I'm hoping to finish at a decent time so that I can look through Textbroker. I cannot cash out on TB until I hit $10 (and I can cash out whenever there's money in my account on Fiverr, but only once every 24 hours). Later, my 19yr old niece and I are going to watch Scream. She asked me earlier if I wanted to watch it, and I agreed. We used to make a list of which movies we were going to watch, but we've stopped doing that because we never follow it lol. We'll just wing it haha. Anywho, I still have work to do, so I'm going to wrap this up. Even if you don't celebrate Halloween, I hope October is a good month for everyone. Take care. Thank goodness we do not have a Halloween season as such here in Scotland. I honestly cannot be doing with it. I know it's for the kids and they have fun and everything, But it's annoying when they keep knocking at doors basically wanting money for just being there. I asked one group of kids to sing a song last year. They looked at me and asked why? So I handed them some coins and they left.

We hand out candy here, not money. If someone hands out money, that's their own decision. It's all good though; to each their own. :)

@tammys85 Well they look at you and ask for money instead. Also some really old looking kids.

@JimBo452020 Oh nooo, they're getting candy here lol. I don't care about older kids Trick-or-Treating; they could be doing much worse, and we all need some candy sometimes.

I hope you enjoyed the movies! I need to figure out where I put our Casper DVD because it's not on streaming anymore. I'll probably watch Hocus Pocus later in the season.

@Courtlynn I haven't watched it yet this season, but I think I may do it very soon. I love Casper, and FreeForm was playing it the other day so I finally got to watch it lol. I know the DVD is somewhere on our entertainment center, but I'm thinking it got pushed further to the back and I'm lazy, so lol.

I've never really been much of a fan of Halloween. It was fun when my kids were young. And one year the older teenager stayed home, dressed up and answered the door (I hate answering the door). When it seemed all kids were gone she begged me to throw something on and we went trick or treating at a couple of houses. I had a scream mask on with a purple curly clown wig and a red skirt worn over my shoulders. We couldn't stop laughing. One neighbour guessed it was me right away from my hands, another from my shoes, the third had no idea it was me. She thought it was my younger daughter as I was hunched over. We just did the three houses but it was so hilarious. Now I turn out the lights and lock the door. I've never really enjoyed dressing up. I don't know what it is. It probably doesn't help that my birthday is the day before.

@tammys85 One neighbour actually thought I was drunk. We literally only went to 3 houses, just for the fun of it. For me it's a memory of something me and my daughter did together for shytz and giggles.

It's all good; it's not everyone's cup of tea. That's a funny costume though, and I hope you did have fun walking around that year. :)

Did you hear they are making a fifth Scream movie? I remember how unusual the original Scream was. It was like something no one had seen.

I've always loved Halloween. I tend to spend the month of October watching Halloween themed movies, like Practical magic, and such. Like you said there's more to Halloween than trick or treating.

@tammys85 Practical magic is such a good one! I love watching it every October. I hope we can do something as well and I agree that trick or treating isn't looking likely this year, which is such a shame.

@dodo19 I'll have to see if my nieces want to watch it soon! Right. I think my sister is making "Boo Baskets" for her kids, and then we're taking pictures in the park across the street (while in costume), plus my niece wants to get a light-up Frisbee or something. And of course, there will be spooky movies lol.

I keep forgetting that I can add Practical Magic to the list! I do hope we can do SOMETHING this year, but Trick-or-Treating is looking more and more unlikely.
