It’s Been a Madhouse Here

It’s been a wild day at my birdbath, too. Robins, cardinals, blue jays, wrens, goldfinches, and who knows what. Such entertainment! 
Saturday was crazy. Our younger son invited us to his new ski chalet in Vermont yesterday, but we halted plans when our older son invited us to view our grandson play goalie in a showcase tournament in Massachusetts. We wanted to see that on TV. He was awesome!
While home, I placed an Instacart order for groceries. I always request a paper receipt, but my shopper gave me such a hard time and was so nasty, that I told her to cancel my entire order. I reported her.
So, I went Instacart shopping at another store and received my order with a paper receipt with no problem.
While talking with a friend on my house phone, I kept hearing my phone and iPad beep. That is always the case, since I always get texts from my family and friends. Eventually, I checked, and found that my original Instacart order that I thought was canceled was being shopped by a shopper! I explained to my shopper what happened earlier and apologized for all the shopping she did, but I had to cancel that order. She was so nice about it.
Anyway, that was my crazy day which began at 7:00AM and ended just in time for our Saturday night date night. I slept very well last night!

That sure is crazy imagine if you had not seen the message and now you had two Instacart orders? Guess you would not need groceries for a very long time to come.

@DianneN that is the one thing I always worry about when ordering from Instacart they take off more than I think every time because of possible price changes and that always worries me until I get my order and I know that the price taken was what I expected

Yikes about the shopping. Glad the second store was good as well as the third shopper who didnt mind the cancelling.

I have never gotten a paper receipt, I guess I should be asking for one. But of course, Instacart charges us a different price than the store. Hummmm

@DianneN Oh no I understand that I was wondering if she didn't want to give you the paper receipt because it is different than the one we get electronically from instacart. Trust me I fully appreciate that it is well worth letting them do it, I've been using instacart since Florida

I didn't realize so many types of birds would frolic in the birdbath together.
It's good you heard about your grandsons game before your began your travels to VT. You'll have to go see it another time instead as I know you will.
As far as instacart we have that here asking with shipt a similar shopper program. Both have problems with certain shops. It's odd though that when you cancelled their main office didn't pick up on it.

@DianneN I hate when were stuck in the phone waiting. I called out bank and was told there was a thirty minutes wait time so I went there instead to ask my questions. My bank was bought by a larger conglomerate making things more complicated than they need to be at times.

The birds fly away when the bluejays are in the birdbath. They are mean birds.
Yes, everything seems to happen at once around here. We will see his place another time. Grandkids always come first!
I thought that was odd, too. I probably should have deleted my order myself. More wasted time. I sas online with them all afternoon.

It's good that you got a paper receipt from another shopping store. Your resentment about not being given a receipt by the first instacart is very natural.

There does seem to be more birds around here too - but not as colorful. Nice to have different options for weekend plans! I haven't used Instacart yet - I'm still shopping for us and my parents. Oh - you had a Saturday date night too . . . I'll have to see if you made a Fridianne post now (I'm so late!!).

Such a busy lady. Love the picture. The only store from which we can get an Instacart order is Aldi's. They just don't have much of a selection. Have a great Sunday.
