I just received a TikTok notification from my 12 year old ice princess.
She’s on the way to a competitionnnnn as she puts it.
Mom is driving up front. The ice princess is busy singing and semi-dancing in the back seat with all her gear and creating yet another TikTok video.
I had to lower the sound due to the rap music. Then I had to kill the sound completely! From what rolled across the screen, it’s 3 Musketeers Clean by Next Youngin & ppcocaine???
If I were in the car, I’d have to open the door and jump out! I do not like rap.

I can't stand a rap music. It's cacophony for my ears. But really appreciate the talent to talk so fast in rhythm.

@DianneN The same is the case with me. Even after listening to them for few times, I fail to make sense of even half of the words they utter

Believe me, I am no youngster . I just come from old hip hop times, that's why I like the old stuff. I am sure your DIL and granddaughter would not think I am hip at all. Not sure they even use the word "hip" anymore

There is a video clip made by Km Music, at youtube.
They took the song "What is Love" of Haddaway artist. They made a video with dancers who dance with fast foot work, it looks nice but challenging. Maybe your daughter will like to try dancing like them.

@DianneN A lot depends on the singer. But that is the way with a lot of music. I dont like the heavy metal stuff as to me it just sounds like they are screaming.

Make her a CD of the songs you like and ask her to skate to your favorite songs with a video of the performance. A nice Birthday present, yes?
