Intuitive Journaling

I discovered I loved writing since I took writing class in college years ago. I do get my ideas and answers from my writing. Intuitive journaling is basically accessing your intuition and writing down your insight into paper. First, I quiet my mind then I set an intention of what I needed to know about my day or my life through my subconscious mind. After that, I set an alarm for 5-10 minutes. I freewrite without paying attention to grammar or spelling. Have you tried intuitive journaling? Photo credit: Pixabay

I didn't know that it is called 'intuitive journaling' but I do write like that. I just notice things and think and write about it.

Just curious, how long have you been journaling?

@meowch Started writing in a journal since high school. It was required in a 'good manners and right conduct' class. I wrote voluminously when I was a young mother. I wasn't able to keep my journals though because I transferred residence many times. Hu hu.

No, but I would. I have often thought I should journal, and have at times in the past. Right now I have a book with writing prompts and some of them are reflective in nature.

Indeed it is interesting. It's just writing freely nonstop with a timer.

@meowch I don't know what you mean by "Intuitive journalism." I started writing in my mother tongue,Hindi, after I cleared graduation.Ideas would come pouring in and I would pen them down.

It's actually intuitive writing. That's like free writing. It seemed you had a free flow of ideas and it is amazing.

I keep a journal, but an intuitive journal sounds like something I really want to try. Mine is a wee bit boring this particular year. I hope that you right more about the subject. That sounds fascinating!!!

It is indeed fascinating. I’ve just learned about intuitive writing while googling it. And so much examples on Pinterest.
