I'm 0-3 so far. Officially, it is 0-1 but the other two companies sort of ghosted me but I'll reach out to one of these later in the day as they are based in the UK. Job 1, managed to get a final interview with the Operations Manager. She wasn't prepared obviously as she didn't go through my resume before the interview. I've been a supervisor and manager as well and I've had my fair share of interviews. I make sure that I go through the resume of the person that I'll be interviewing. Any clarifications that I have about the person's career, I ask about it. This person basically asked me to go through my resume and was not fully attentive. Midway through the interview, I know I didn't want to work for this idiot. She even asked if I was willing to work a shifting schedule. Now, the job posting clearly said that this is a dayshift account since the company we will be handling is an Australian company. Granted, customer service support maybe 24/7 but the job posting would have that information right? I had asked back if she knew when the 24/7 shift will happen. She said she had no idea. My answer was pretty much that I won't be concerned with it because nothing is final yet. At the end of the interview, I asked when I can get feedback if I passed or not, she did not have an answer for me. Fast forward to two days and I emailed back the HR personnel handling my application for feedback and he got back to me this morning and send I did not pass the final interview. I would have asked for feedback but based on the actual interview, I doubt if I'll get any from the Operations Manager. Job 2, was scheduled for a final interview as well but did not get a call much less a text. Fifteen minutes had passed on the scheduled interview when I sent a text asking if the interview will push through. No reply. Sweet! Job 3, will reach out to them later in the day since they are based in UK so it is still very early in the morning for them at this time. I had submitted my resume to this headhunting firm and also offered to submit resumes of my colleagues as well. Ended up submitting seven other resumes. I got feedback from my colleagues and they were interviewed already last week. Been a week since the last interview so I figured now is a good time to follow up. Not expecting much from this as well but I'd rather know for sure rather than be hanging and not knowing anything. Anyway, submitted a bunch of other resumes again this week but haven't received any feedback yet. One or two of the companies said they will get back to me after two weeks because they are processing a lot of applications. I'm not surprised. Haven't gotten back to my current company because I do not want to deal with them yet. Obviously, they do not want to retrench people because they do not want to give out separation pay. I think they're hoping that people will be tired of being put on floating status and they will just voluntarily resign. Those who resigned will get something but not as much as the separation pay package. Sorry for dumping all of this to you guys just had to get it out of my system. On to the next...

I can very well understand why you do not want to deal with that company. It takes time before they contact you when you send a resume, I hope you can find soon a better job. Good luck.

That's a lot on a person's plate, don't blame you for dumping it. I really and truly hope you get something soon.

@allen0187 Don't even worry about that, I've done my share of dumping down through the years.

Last thing I want to do is to dump it to an unsuspecting reader.

Hunting for a job even if it is not the "right job" can be terribly frustrating sometimes. It is one of my least favorite things to do. You have mad (excellent) skills so something will come about soon I am sure. Have you thought about Amazon? They are typically always hiring, especially this time of year. Maybe they need someone to work in cloud operations or management.

The call center of Amazon is indeed hiring here in their Manila office. Haven't tried with them yet. Perhaps I should. Thanks for the kind words.

These are very difficult times and so many people are vying for the same jobs as you. If at all possible, try to include something in your resume or actual interview that will set you apart from everyone else. Keep pestering them, too, so they will remember your name. Wishing you the best of luck and hope you find a job soon.

@allen0187 That might be true but we're all sort of one step removed from others so it's not quite the same as having family vent to us. However, we can still feel empathy for those that are having a tough time or a particular problem. Take care and stay safe.

I have. Everyone has been interviewed. Based on what I gathered, the last interview was done Friday morning. So almost a week has passed. Anyway, will get in touch with the UK headhunter later in the evening.
