The collage shows some of the wildflowers that grow in the Karijini National Park in Western Australia’s north-west.
The top two photos show the very pretty mulla mulla or Ptilotus exaltatus which is popular in domestic gardens too. It bears masses of large, conical spikes of feathery flowers. It has fleshy, silver-green leaves and attracts bees and butterflies. Needless to say, it is heat and drought resistant.
Bottom left is a type of smoke-bush. There is a great number of varieties of smoke-bush. Bottom right is Sturt’s desert rose, which I’ve already written about.

They all are gorgeous. I spontaneously recognized the desert rose that you posted earlier too. These are definitely desert beauties.

I guess for many tourists, the north is quite difficult to get to. A couple of days we drove most of the day and saw very little. We were reminded again of what a big country it was.

@DocAndersen Don't leave exploring the north too long - especially if you want to go up and down the gorges.

@JudyEv - In Austin, Texas, a lot of people transplant flowers. Apparently Austin has the perfect climate and soil.

@cmoneyspinner Some of our wildflowers don't like to be disturbed and they don't like fertilisers. Others do well however they're treated.

Hopefully you'll be to get here one day soon. The pandemic has upset a lot of travel plans.

Those wildflowers are rare and unique ! They must be indigenous to Australia.
