Grocery Delivery

Happy Wednesday Everyone. Another rainy day here in my neck of the woods. I dont think we're going to see the sun until the weekend
My daughter is off today but her boss already called with something or other he needed. He has no regard for personal time. It frustrates me but I keep my mouth shut since it's her job and she has enough stress.
Meanwhile our groceries were delivered and now they're all put away. Getting delivery is convenient but it ends there. Unpacking, sanitizing etc is still time consuming and a pain.
Somewhere in between getting up and now I had my coffee and breakfast. Guess I was on remote control since I dont really remember eating.
Not that I have anything much planned for today but it already feels like "one of those days"

I hope your daughter didn't have to deal too much with the boss today - it is her day off. Yes, groceries are a pain . . . it's a complete chore now. I was ready to have a nervous break down over last week's shopping. Last week was one of those weeks for me. Hope you have a good rest of the day!

@Marilynda1225 It's nuts, isn't it? Sucker punched, yes - in more ways than one. It's been tiring. But we have to keep going . . . moving forward hopefully. I am better this week for the most part - until next week when we go through this grocery thing again. Hope you're having a good day today!

I think we're all reaching the end of our rope when it comes to groceries amongst other things. Life has certainly sucker punched us this year.

Your daughter's boss isn't a very fair employer is he?
I worked for someone like that and am so glad that I am now where I am.
I beg our son and his wife not to shop at costco, so many hands have already touched what they buy, and how can you be sure to get all of the germs off of those items? Its better to go someplace that has a quick turnover on their stock with less crowds.

@Marilynda1225 I have also heard that. I know that my employer is investing alot in different software to enable us to work from home. And they are leasing out the physical office space that they have. Working from home may be the new normal for some of us.

Shopping really has become a challenge these days. I heard today that life probably wont return to normal until 2022

i wish they'd deliver me some groceries out here. tis time consumin', but not near's havin' to go fetch 'em yerself. sanitizin' yer auto/keys/change clothes/wash yer mask, etc.
cold, windy 'n more snow here. 'xpectin' a blizzard'n top 'f the other 'joys' since sunday.
ne'er figured how some 'f those folks get those management jobs..

@Marilynda1225 'tis not been pleasant, this weather. dislike these 30+ degree drops'n temps quickly (less'n 12hrs). thankfully the blizzard 'twas a bust. got lots 'f rain'n high winds to make'p fer 't though 'fter the sun (did a happy dance to see that sucker!) went to slumber.
yes ma'am, a challenge. particularly coz so many refuse to follow the 'rules'.

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with what sounds like winter weather already.
Going anywhere and doing anything these days is a challenge

We won't see the sun until Saturday, but it's a good day for reading.
I had 2 orders delivered Friday and it kills 6 hours of my day being online with my shopper and then sanitizing everything.
Your daughter's boss sounds like a madman. So sorry he's such a jerk.

Yes her boss is a jerk. He's always been inconsiderate but since covid and working from home it's just made him even worse. I've been telling her to get a new job since she moved here but now the virus has just made job hunting harder. Sometimes I think the only way she'll look for a new job is the day he pushes too far and she just blows up and quits.
Anyway I try to be positive and am glad that at least she has a job.

I've been getting supplies delivered for years, it's been a time and gasoline saver for me. I still have to go to the grocery store for the frozen veggies and fruits I like but that's about it.

We had a good bright sun from Sunday till now. But seems rain and clouds are back. We got a few days break from the continuous rain and drizzle and now clouds are back.
I don't like when employees invade our personal time and space. Quite unprofessional
