Trying to Get Update on my Cousin

All morning I have been on the phone again with nurses. My cousin is in the hospital on a ventilator. No visitors are allowed due to COVID. She is 500 miles away. She is negative for COVID. Thankfully the nurses are talking to me, but they still don't have answers. Waiting on the specialists to come see her. They are doing tests all day today. They may have to start dialysis as her kidneys are failing. Hopefully will have answers soon. They tried again to remove the ventilator but she still cannot catch her breath. Hoping for the best.

I hope you will get answers soon and I sincerely hope she will be well enough to remove the ventilator soon as well. I know it's scary for not only you and your family but for her as well. My cousin has a rare disease that is killing her. I haven't talked to my aunt since last week, but I know my aunt was seriously considering bringing in Hospice for her.

It sounds like she is in good hands, with the nursing staff doing a good job of looking after her, and helping to as much as they can.

They tried taking her off the ventilator again today and her heart rate went up really high and irregular. Back on the ventilator for now. They are changing her meds. That is all I know.

Oh so sorry to know about this. I hope she will be fine in the coming days. I think that when breathing is concerned it is more likely a covid case. Has she been tested to know if she has it?
