Hello! It’s Me

Well, that photo isn’t me.. That is my son’s Halloween costume. I believe he was dressed as a Day of the Dead Mexican. It made me laugh. He always makes me laugh. I had a rough week, but am feeling much better today. I spent most of my time in the kitchen cooking for the freezer. I made 60 meatballs and 7 meatloaves for days I don’t feel like cooking. I also made a beef stew for dinner. It gave me leftovers for another meal. Hubby and I celebrated Friday date night with lobster ravioli. To be honest. I was so sick of cooking that hubs suggested we order a pizza last night for dinner. Tonight may be a frittata. It’s good to be back!

Why did you cook so plenty of food? You are exhausted from cooking that you need a rest. Enjoy your Sunday.

I cooked for the freezer. I find it helps on nights I don’t feel like cooking. Thanks and likewise.

Hi Dianne! Good to see you back in your good mood. That's an interesting costume. A day without cooking is always welcome. Today is such day for me. A lot was left from yesterday's festival meal.

Love that costume! Ole! I was considering some lobster ravioli last night, but I think I eat enough pasta honestly. I had a pork roast dish which was quite interesting..It was an entire meal on a plate..lots of veggies included as well as some stuffing, potato, sauerkruat a divine sauce and red pepper.

@DianneN Yeah, well I might have been able to make that at home but it seems like it would have been labor instensive. I bet in 6 months or maybe less you will feel comfortable going out again.

@snowy22315 Time will tell. I only do labor intensive when I’m in the mood, and never on my birthday.

When we eat out, or used to, I always ordered things I don’t cook at home. Your birthday dinner sounds awesome!

Pizza sounds like a plan. I want pizza. I feel sick of cooking as well especially away from the family. Your son's costume looks really the Mexican.

@DianneN I was craving since 2 weeks ago. It is just me and my brother so I doubt if we can finish one box.

@jobelbojel Hubs and I ordered a medium pizza and couldn't finish it. A small pizza would have been too small.

It makes dinner decisions so easy. I had a stalker and it was the anniversary of Doodles passing. Rough week for me.

Your son would fit right in here on November 1st but he'd have to go to one of the traditional Mexican cemeteries we have here ..... don't ask me where, I don't go to cemeteries.

As tiring as it sounds I think I'm going to do like you did and cook for the freezer. Sounds like it's worth the effort to have a variety of meals to choose from Love the photo!!

Your son's Halloween costume looks hilarious. It is so funny. I am glad to hear you are feeling better dear Dianne. It saddens me when I hear you are not feeling well, I wish I could do something to relieve that. Take your time, rest and be here when you feel 100% like your fabulous self.

I spend a couple of hours on Saturday and make dinner for 5 evenings--wrap them up and freeze them. Today is a beautiful Sunday South Florida day--you know what I mean!

I'm glad that you're feeling better. I wish I could still cook. I really miss it. I used to cook huge batches of everything so that we'd have lots of extra meals. Great costume by the way.
