if the answer to a question is "no", Then there are other people who don't know and ask me, then I answer "maybe or could be", Is this a lie or honest because saying something is not in accordance with the truth? What do you think ?

@youfiq That is your answer. For me if I do not know an answer I will say I do not know but will try to find out and get back to them.

That's right, we first find out the answer, but it will take time too, I feel reluctant when asked I immediately say I don't know

@youfiq If they need an answer right away I will have to say I do not know but will try and find out for them.

It's not in accordance with the truth. Therefore it's false. And false is not a lie always.

You're right, fakes don't always lie, we just give diplomatic answers with a word diversion

It can not be honest but it can be considered as diplomatic.

I am intently honest and people do not care for it.

That means you are honest about the answer although you are not sure.

yes I agree with you, instead of having to say "don't know" or "maybe I'll find out first", it will just add to our work hahaha

If someone asks you a question and you are not sure of the answer or do not yet know, then answering "Maybe" is honest.. If you know that the answer is "No", then it would, strictly speaking, be dishonest to answer "Maybe". However, if it were someone asking whether you had bought them a certain thing as a present, then I believe that nobody would consider yoou 'dishonest' for prevaricating.

If the answer is no then I will just answer it no or I don`t know if I can`t understand what the question is all about

I’m a little confused. If you know the answer is no why say maybe?

I don’t think you can answer without knowing the question. I think it depends if you are doing it to get an advantage or to spare someone’s feelings etc.

@youfiq Then I think that is morally different to just being dishonest.

For me it's honest to say maybe because we were not sure for what is to happen soon and me too i have to say that word in sometime :)

You're right, sometimes I don't know all the answers, and it's also bad to say "don't know"

I will answer this with another question: How does honesty connect to the truth? The truth sits within love, and to connect to the honesty in your mind, it must remain pure, otherwise, honesty is not pure either. The truth must stay the truth, and must be altered in no way, not even with a maybe, as it is cut and dried, and "maybe" never applies to the truth.
