Hello MyLotters! Insomnia is not my friend. It is edging towards 1:30 in the morning and I am WIDE awake! It doesn't help that the store I work at is open late due to the holiday shopping season, so I get home late and even though I'm tired I'm not SLEEPY. Are you ever wide awake right after you get off work (if you work.) This doesn't work well with the fact that I'm trying to wake up earlier to get some things accomplished before the family gets up. Late to bed and early to rise are not a good pair.

Taking a nap every now and then can compensate for the lack of sleep at night. Have a great day!

I was in the same situation several time. I was exhausted, yet I can't sleep. I also need to wake up early the next day as well. I have to force myself to sleep.

When I was young I often went to bed late (mainly because of our job) and rise very early, now I go to sleep early.

Lack of sleep make us cranky. I don't have problem to sleep. I have problem to stay sleep. I always wake up after 1 or 2 hours of sleep and I need at least 1 hour to get back to sleep and wake up again 1 or 2 hours later.

I usually sleep earlier if I am tired of working during the day. According to some articles I read, consuming sweet foods will help you relax and will make it easier for you to sleep.
