The other uses of a face mask and face shield... / myLot

It is still a ''lock down'' here in my city. As such, some establishments are temporarily closed, including the pet shops. My son took the task of grooming one of our 'city' dogs (incidentally, they were born today 5 years ago). Since he has the allergic rhinitis, I advised him to wear a face shield too. When he did the cutting and the trimming of Paris' fur, he had continuous sneezing and runny nose, that I had to give him antihistamines. Now, with the face shield surprisingly, he did not even sneeze while finally trimming with an electric razor, the fur of Paris. Well, aside from this, other uses of a face shield could be cutting and slicing onions, and deep frying some fish or meat. How can a face shield help you- its uses, I mean?

My niece always uses it when frying fish since we do not have an oil splatter screen.

That is nice indeed that you have found other ways to make your face shields useful other than the usual protection from the virus. Now it is for those that have allergic rhinitis to they wont trigger the allergy he has.

Those are creative ways to use it. At least it's still useful even after the pandemic end, whenever that would be.

We use masks here, but not face shields. I noticed that I did not sneeze during Spring, the mask protected me against the plants allergies.

My face shield helps me when I am frying something. I hate it when hot oil landed on my face when frying something.

I don't buy face shield because I don't go out often. But my husband uses it. He also buy face mask. Whenever he is on crowd he will use shield and mask. But aside of that, he will just use face shield. Face mask makes him dizzy.
