Finally, No More Netflix

On January 3rd, I decided not to renew my Netflix subscription. I was a member since last year. I was paying monthly for a premium account myself. Just recently I was able to convince a friend to share payment with me. And he recruited two more people. That made my monthly payment a lot lesser. However, I don't usually watch movies. I paid but not using it. I only watch series I like. But my friend is willing to continue the subscription. So I gave him permission to change the account credentials. He did.

That is good that you share with your siblings. My brothers have separate subscriptions.

@jobelbojel we used to have but since not all of us are using it all the time, it is much better to share it with someone

@rakski When I asked my brothers if they have Netflix, they both said they are all sharing with friends. And their friends are the primary account holder. So I decided to create my own.

I also have my subscription and me and my sife share on it. I rarely watch there but then it is pretty convenient when long holidays come and no work I would binge watch. But when I am at work I do not find watching it enticing anymore as I feel tired after the end of the day.

@jobelbojel Oh I have watch a lot more than that in the past. I just slowed down these past few weeks for some reasons I got disinterested with it. But my wife loves to watch Korean series and films too.

@rsa101 Yeah, you see. Netflix is earning from me because I only watch selected series.

I only watch Stranger Things, Umbrella Academy, The Order. I stopped watching Messiah and Zombie Nation. I am planning to get a subscription when the 3 TV series are back with new season.

I pay $11 and some change when I am the only one using it. Before cancelling it, I only pay $2.80.

I share an account with my sisters. It’s more cost effective that way.

That's wise. I still have mine and pay for our younger son's subscription. It's an ongoing gift.

My view of buying items is based on needs and not wants these days.

That is the reason I have dropped Netflix on my list. I might get a subscription when my fave TV series are back.

@jobelbojel I think it's a wise decision to get out of things such as subscriptions if the product isn't being used much. Otherwise it's just a waste of money. We have Netflix and I do watch it a lot as I love to re-watch the same things or have as background noise.

I will ask my brother if he can share his Netflix to me. $2 is already a saving for me.

@jobelbojel So since you did not renew Netflix. If you want to watch something will you be watching with your friend or watching things another way?

I have been hearing a lot about Netflix from my colleagues who are sharing payments. My son has his own subscription. But I personally don't subscribe as I don't have time to watch movies or shows.

I'm not a huge fan of NetFlix. The version we get here is so watered down it's unreal.

I don't even have my own subscription, one of my friend bought it with a different group of friends and I use her account in between.
