I watched Antebellum while Chris was here. I had been wanting to see this movie too. It has Arabella Landrum, Jena Malone, Eric Lange, Janelle Monáe, Tongayi Chirisa, Jack Huston, and Gabourey Sidibe in it.
Big Warning: there is lots of violence, rape, and one suicide
In this movie, a woman named Veronica learns what the slaves in pre-Civil War period felt like. She is a public speaker who talks about how to be a successful black woman and then her life gets a horrifying wake up call.
I liked this movie. Chris liked it too.

For some reason the name of the movie sounds really familiar but have no idea why! Pretty sure I have never seen it... but something is very familiar!
