Caught Dude and Brendel Snuggling

Another cold day. Started off with 28 degrees F. Lots of sunshine but very cold. The Dude and Brendel are enjoying one of my heating pads on the sofa. Snapped this rare shot of them both on the same cushion to stay warm. I have several heating pads and they both enjoy the heat. The pads have an automatic turn off after a few minutes. But I won't tell them. They will sleep for hours like this.

I just love Brendel's coloring. Ah yes, my friend has a heating pad for her cats that she does the same with .They love to snuggle together.

Thanks, she is about half the size of the Dude. But they manage to stick together when it is cold.

@CarolDM The dude looks to be about the size of Binx and Brendel is bigger than Chickie. Chickie's a runt for her breed. She's a muted calico and they usually get bigger

How sweet especially if it's not normal and if there was a heating pad for each of them. You're getting some of our colder temps even down there. brrr

@CarolDM we've had colder weather is and on for a few weeks too. My husband heard it might last a long bit of time but in the forecast I see it gets advice twenties in the daytime now often than not. If they end up being correct I think I can live with that.

All bundled and snuggled. When I bring our warehouse cat Cal home for the weekends (him and Grayson are actually brothers), they snuggle quite a bit when they are not otherwise trying to kill each other. lol

@CarolDM I'd say about half of the day is snuggling. The other half is chasing. They get WILD.

@CarolDM I've heard that a heavyweight, such as a largish dog, on an electric blanket can cause a fire so the auto turn-off would be a good idea.

Isn't that cute, they are staying warm curled up with each other:) Our cats use to pile on top of Puffer, our dog. He loved it, especially with the little kittens!

Aww, buddies today. I wonder how long it will last? Nico likes to lie right down in front of the space heater..I would think it would be too hot, but he seems to enjoy it. He also is a fan of the electric blanket.
