I used these beautiful sunny and warm days and walked around the city, a lot was built, renovated and although I have lived here for more than 40 years, I almost did not go to the center (somehow I avoid that center due to abnormal crowds)
I decided to visit the Gardos Tower.
Gardos Tower better known as 'The Millenium Tower'. It was built and officially opened on 20 August 1896 to celebrate a thousand years of Hungarian settlement in the Pannonian plain.
From the hill where the tower is located, there is a beautiful view of the entire old part of the city, the rivers, everything can be seen as in the palm of your hand ..

@LowRiderX It snowed all around us, the hills are all white. well, they were white, they are yellow now thanks to the Sahara desert sand we had yesterday.

@LadyDuck Yes, I heard from my sister yesterday and she just tells me that everything is kind of pink and that the sky is very strange

@JudyEv Yes, I try to be outdoors, I don’t visit indoor.. and I have to get out of the house a little, I'll go crazy. But what I miss most is visiting friends

@JudyEv We’re mostly in touch over the phone, but that’s not it. I miss talking, making barbecues, we humans are social beings, I find it very difficult to maintain contact by phone

That’s a beautiful tower and the view from it must be wonderful!
It’s definitely winter here. Now that the roads are free of snow and ice, hubs and I bundle up and are back to taking long morning walks. Otherwise, we stay indoors and stick to a schedule.

@DianneN It lasted about 2 weeks, it was really warm ... it was cloudy this morning, and they also announced rain, for Friday and snow

@rhuenz It's winter in the calendar here too and we should have a lot of snow, but everything has somehow gotten mixed up in recent years, the winters have become mild, we almost don't have snow..

@LowRiderX Good to hear that things are improving there and they seem to be improving here too but they keep stressing not to relax our guard and to keep taking all precautions as things are still uncertain.

@kanuck1 I absolutely understand, in a time like this, the most important thing is to stay positive in spirit, everything else is not good ... although I know that sometimes it is difficult, maybe some creative work will help ... or some good book !?

@rebelann It is probably simpler than it looks because then there were not so many machines that make work easier and I have the impression that the construction is much nicer than today, today everything looks simple and mostly glass

That is a beautiful tower, I can only imagine the view from it was nothing less then spectacular.
Its so nice that you are experiencing such nice weather that allows you to go out and about.
We are in the coldest part of our winter currently.
I like cold, but yesterday even I complained.
During these days we stay in, the cold, the wind, the slippery walkways are all reasons to stay in and enjoy the inside.
Spring will come one day and we will go back outside.

@LowRiderX Yesterday it was -8C during the day time, our son and his wife sent me a photo of the 2 of them and their dog, Ellie, out snowshoeing in the forest. They live on a lake and there is a generous forest that runs in and around where the houses are. Its so pretty there.

@Juliaacv I don't remember when the temperature here was -8 and otherwise we are a climate where temperatures should be very low during the winter. It is even colder next to the water. It's cloudy here this morning, they announced rain, from Friday and snow, I hope it will be like that

@thelme55 We will have for sure. But it is better to have it now and not when everything is in bloom. For today, they are announcing rain here that will last until Friday, and since Friday they say snow ... I can't wait

Nice to have an early spring. We still have some snow on the ground yet. Can't wait for those warmer days to come and the end of any more snow.

@dgobucks226 I'm not sure how good it really is, it can happen that we have snow in a month or two because it is not there now, and then it is a disaster for the plants because the vegetation will start.
