I Couldn't SPOIL "Vanilla Sky" if I Tried!

One of these three is only imaginary ... at least ...

... mainly because it's 'twist ending' is an old trope used in tons of other movies (from Wizard of Oz, What Dreams May Come, The Matrix, TOTAL RECALL, etc. ... and it uses a type of ending also used in INCEPTION, where you know the main character continues on his way, but you're not sure whether he's asleep or awake). Tom Cruise 'plays' the main guy. (I almost said he is the main guy, because--even though he plays the main character excellently--you won't remember him as anybody but 'Tom Cruise' ) He's a handsome man who inherited a huge newspaper business. And he meets Julianna (Cameron Diaz) a girl who's been stalking him (innocently-ish). He apparently "proves he loves her," but then spurns her for Sopiia (Penelope Cruz). Not knowing Julianna was crazy-for-him, he gets into her car thinking she'll drive him to Sophia's place. But she goes insane and drives off a bridge. He survives (sorta ... he's horribly disfigured and has to wear a mask even though his doctors fix his face just fine---probably); Julianna dies (probably), but Sofia sometimes transforms into her. You hear the twist explained near the end (kinda like in The Sixth Sense, where you'll then go back in the movie and see how 'that's always how it was' ); and I guess I want to know 'what everybody thinks "The Tom Cruise" wakes up-to?' Is "Sophia" 'the Penelope Cruz-Sophia' or 'the Cameron Diaz-Sophia'?

And I didn't tell you about the choice he has to make at the end, before he can wake up.
