Jerking related to kidney disease

I went to a neurologist for a nerve induction test. I don't know yet what the result of that came to be yet. However, the doctor told me that my shaking looked to be caused by kidney disease. So, I expect that I will be checked by a neurologist. When I was in the hospital due to COVID-19, the doctor said I should be followed by a kidney doctor. The doctor said my kidney function was at a 4, whatever that means.

You should get a thorough test and examination urgently. Stage 4 means that your kidneys are on the verge of not functioning at all, I'm afraid, "At stage 4, severe kidney damage has happened. At this stage, it is very important to slow the loss of kidney function by following your treatment plan, and managing other problems like high blood pressure or heart disease."

@OreoBrownie I would try to see your doctor as soon as possible to talk about it.

I haven't heard from my personal physician yet. I will ask the nurse, but I'm not sure what I would find out, because we don't have a permanent nurse on this floor. 3 or 4 nurses take turns working rotations to cover the unit for 12 hour shifts.

Hey mr. Owl, I was told last year that there may come a time I will need dialysis treatments. But, at this time there has been nothing said to me about it.

I wish to know what’s a 4 too. I don’t think I have a healthy kidney.

My doctor visited yesterday and sad that my kidney AR doing okay. So I don't know what that other doctor was talking about. Maybe my number was higher than 4 and I just forgot or didn't actually know.

@OreoBrownie It’s good to get a second opinion sometimes.

As someone with similar issues, you can help yourself (and I'm sure you will) with menu choices and staying hydrated. There is so much info online now, it is easier to help ourselves. Feel free to message me if there are any questions you think I can answer.
