Phone camera broken

After installing an update this morning I discovered my phone's cameras didn't want to open no matter what I tried. So I found another camera online and downloaded that. I was able to use it for selfies or taking a pic backwards. So you know how hard that is? It took me six tried before I got close to what I was trying to capture. I decided to reboot my phone before complaining to Verizon and thankfully that took care of my problem. The phones camera app now will open and I've taken a few pics with it already. Now I have to see whether the one I downloaded is better or just delete that one.

I am glad that rebooting fixed the problem, at least you did not need to call Verizon.

@MarshaMusselman There is all the time a long waiting when you call the customer support of those services.

@LadyDuck exactly like there is everywhere these days so I'm glad I thought to reboot it myself. I had to reboot it rest it again because I wasn't able to write any comments or responses here last night at one point. The restart fixed that too. Maybe they should have checked their upgrade better before sending it out.

I agree. That would have been more wasted time in the phone.

Oh wow I would be so upset if mine didn't work. I'm so glad Verizon was able to get yours going again!

Verizon didn't fix the problem for me. I thought to reboot it before contacting them and that took care of the problem.

@shaggin That's okay. I've misunderstood what others have put before too.

This also happened to me before. I remember resetting something in the setting before reopening it again. It never happened again so I can't remember anymore.

If we don't keep doing something the memory gets replaced by another. I've had to restart my phone a few times and that seems to help.

@RebeccasFarm I've had to reboot again recently as it wouldn't let me respond or comment on melt although I could text messages to friends.

I figured that was the one thing I could try before contacting Verizon. That's better than being in the phone for awhile to find out that's all I had to do.

Well it is great you were able to solve the problem with a reboot. A reboot solves lots of problems I find.

And I don't turn mine off often enough probably. But, it had just installed the new update and rebooted itself so it took me a bit before I realized that would be something to try.
