Happy to See Neighbor's New Fence

A few days ago, I noticed the neighbors behind us were digging fence posts holes. And now their new fence is halfway done. Yes, that is a good thing. They just got a puppy for their toddler. This will be good for all of us. More privacy for us, and for them as well. This is not their fence, borrowed the photo. More of those little things that make me happy in life. Good evening to everyone.

Lots of buzz going around your neighborhood lately. Here too. Lots of tree work, yard work and re-paving driveways.

we had no fence between our backyard neighbors years ago after Sandy. The storm destroyed it. They thought that we were never going to replace it but the boys were just waiting for warmer weather. We didn't have dogs and our yard was well taken care of but everyone likes their privacy.

Fences always make good neighbors. Especially with kids and dogs. Privacy is number one for us.

I would like to get a fence but I live on a hill. My neighbors are higher than I am on the hill so it seems pointles. I am thinking of privacy shrubs instead.

@CarolDM She lives right next door and when we are out on the deck we feel like she is watching us lol but if we get a fence it would have to be a very high fence so we are thinking shrubs that will eventually grow high is a better idea. We just got the house 2 months ago.

Hills are good and no fence is needed.

Nice photo though this is not the real one. As long as you are happy then the matter rests. Hope you get along well with them.

A privacy fence is always welcome in my opinion, and one of these days I will replace the current chain link one with a privacy fence.

@CarolDM It would be nice to have. I have always liked having one up. Not that I don't like my neighbors. But still, sometimes you just want a nice private bit of space.

@porwest So many neighbors moved it at one time with the new street and homes built. I don't know anyone yet.

Good evening. So what does their fence look like? Just curious and also it's a good thing for everyone's privacy but what about interaction over the fence?

It is wooden, still building it. No interaction on my part over the fence.

I wish I had the money to have a real rock wall fence built but the last time I priced one it would have cost $7,000 to do that just on the back portion and by now that price has probably doubled.

Yeah, lumber is not a good idea for fencing. I wanted a rock wall but that would really cost a lot of money to install around my half acre.

Good to know. You all have so much vast land so can do fencing and all, here in India, population is so much that people live in cramped spaces. Have a good day. Take care
