COVID 19

April 29, 2021 2:52am CST
From few days i am not feeling well, having mild fever, throat pain and headache but i am not sure that it is COVID or not because i don't go out anywhere. What are the symptoms of COVID 2nd variant and how can we check whether it's COVID or not at home only?

Maybe it can be due to a change in weather but I will suggest you isolate yourself and go on a quarantine till the time you feel fine. The best way to know if it's Covid or not is to make a cup of coffee and check if you can sense its aroma. Since coffee has a strong aroma and if you are not able to sense it plus if you are not able to sense the taste of other foods that you eat and lastly if you are short of breath then you should be serious. It will also be better if you quarantine yourself since we never know in what way it can affect you. And do not panic don't go to the hospital if you think you will self heal. First, consult the doctors on phone.

and yes i also don't want to go to the hospital seeing the condition of patients there so it's better to self heal because it may be viral also.

@amrita123 yes it would be better if you contact the doctors from home coz the condition of hospitals is very bad....

Please give for a test. And isolate yourself. Stay hydrated. Take all warm fluids. Anything and everything under sun is the symptom now.. headache, fever, weakness, cold, cough, diarrhoea, rashes, conjunctivitis, discoloration of lips, finger and nails. It can be only one symptom or combination. I had severe headache for three days with no other symptom. It was covid. My timely isolation saved others in family from getting infected. It's my third week. I am recovering well but feeling weak and tired.

@amrita123 You too take care and get well soon. Till your report comes, take paracetamol for your fever, start with zincovit vitamin and vitamin C. Try having a glass of warm water with one lemon.

The symptoms are: 1) A high temperature (a fever) 2) A new continuous cough 3) A change in your sense of smell or taste If you suspect that you have Covid, you should get tested right away. You can't tell whether it's Covid or not without a proper test. in any case, you can certainly alleviate the symptoms by taking paracetamol, as you would for a cold or flu.

My fever is better after taking paracetamol and now the main concern is throat pain. I should get myself tested you are correct.

I'd never ask medical questions on a writing site of the internet. How can you trust lay people who don't even see you? Go to a physician and get examined!

OK that's your choice and i'll go definately but i asked here because i know a lot of people are suffering and people do know how to cure minor symptoms and what's wrong in talking to people , you will always get to know something new and that doesn't require seeing them always.

Going for a clinical test is the best option to rule out. Taking risk wt this time is not good at all

You might could call a private doctor to come to your house. Or if you don't, you can isolate yourself in your room and drink vitamin c or salt water. And if you can, you can eat garlic because it prevents the virus.
