You know you are old when... / myLot

Today is one of those days when I just want to sit back and vegetate. I feel my age down to my bones. Am I just sitting and letting the world go by? No, not me. As long I I can get up and move around that is exactly what I am doing. I may not have much get up and go but boy I can use up what I do have. I designed and started a Christmas design to sell online and now, here I am on Mylot. How the heck is everyone out there doing?

Not too bad..I had to laugh. I was just down at the lake and this old guy was there...probably 10 years older than I am and said that they had just sold his mother's house as she had recently passed away..I was thinking gee, I wonder how old she was when he was born..12? Just kidding..some people do live well into their 90's.

@HazySue My grandmother lived a long time, and probably enjoyed most of her life..but her last years were not good. Bless her soul!

Some of the days I too feel like this.i want to do many things but my body and mind don't permit to do. It looks as if the age is increasing.

I know what you mean. In my mind I feel like I'm 22 and just getting married; but my body tells me otherwise. I am doing OK, all things considered. Nothing much going on here. Have a good week.

I have to be busy. I seem to need to be doing something at all times. I may not be as quick as I used to be but I am still trying to keep moving.

I think it might be willpower that keeps you going. I believe it's the same thing that doesn't let me give up. Keep on moving.

It's easy to sit back and vegitate. It's hard to do nothing while doing that though. I find I need to do something.

@HazySue We have to do something. Even if it's nothing more than the crafts you do while watching TV. You're still doing something.

I feel the same way. I had the idea that once I retired I would sit back and enjoy doing nothing. Not so. Doing nothing drives me crazy.
