Anime Fans?

I know there have to be some other anime fans out here. What are some of your favorite series? I'm nuts about Fullmetal Alchemist, but I've recently gotten hooked on Death Note. I haven't read the manga, but I'm enjoying the anime quite a bit - as my avatar probably indicates! I usually prefer the darker, more serious animes. Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost In The Shell, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain... but I do have a special fondness for High School series (School Rumble, Ouran Host Club, etc). And Tactics holds a very special place in my heart. So what are your favorite series and why?

I like almost every anime I watch, as long as they're not boring. I have watched Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball Z, Ghostfighters, Ranma 1/2 (just a few), Gatekeepers, Gundam Wing, and I can go on and on... But I am not able to watch that much anime nowadays because of work...

I got into Inuyasha when I was a freshman in college. But I don't get a whole lot of time to watch it lately. I started to get into Wolf's Rain before [adult swim] took it off. Ghost in The Shell is alright and I could get into that a little more if I watched more. Cowboy Bebop I like also..I find it to be random at times.

I enjoy hellsing a lot too, I like it because of the superiority of Alucard maybe :D. Elfen Lied is very good too, you should check it out, it is kind of bloody but if you like hellsing, it's for you :)

Hellsing is awesome, I'm a big fan of that one. Haven't checked out Elfin Lied yet. I've heard all kinds of mixed reviews on it.

I have heard so many good things about Monster. I really need to look into it. I love psychological stuff, and I've heard that the series is heavy with the mind screwing and the psychological themes. Thanks! :D

Cowboy Bebop - This picture is of Spike from the anime series Cowboy Bebop. He is my favorite character on the show.
I wouldn't consider Cowboy Bebop a serious anime series. I think it was definitely a comedy. It was the only anime that I can honestly say I enjoyed a lot. I don't mind most anime and I can watch it. I have some friends that really like it and it is interesting in general, however some of the series can be REALLY boring. Cowboy Bebop is the only one I've ever purchased and own.

It had humor, but it dealt with some pretty serious issues. And it had a serious premise with established universe rules. It didn't rely on sight gags and fourth-wall-breaking like so many series do.

I have not heard or seen any of these. Are they in the USA? Or in another country?

If you haven't heard or seen any of them, why bother responding to the thread? Isn't that a little pointless? They're avaliable all aroung the World, and can also be viewed on the internet, to answer your question.

Steaua - FC STEAUA BUCURESTI was founded following to a decree signed off by Mihail Lascar on the 7th of June 1947, on behalf of the National Ministry of Defense of Romania. In the summer of 1946, a few generals and high officers of the Romanian Army were seriously considering starting up a military club and an Army's football team. A few months later, in the spring of 1947, their endeavors led to the formation of the so called "Sports Association of the Romanian Army". The first leader of the football team was also its skipper, Stefan Septville and the newly emerged team had its first ever training camp. Despite the fact the new team had to take a play off for promoting to the second Division, it was brought up to the top Division, as a replacement for the team Carmen, which was excluded form the top football of Romania. The first coach of the team in its first season in the top Division was Coloman Braun-Bogdan. Soon the team was named CCA and won its first ever domestic title in Romania in 1951, under the helmet of Gheorghe Popescu, one of its honorary founding members. Between 1951 and 1961, CCA won 5 more domestic titles, till its name was changed to STEAUA, in the summer of 1961. What did STEAUA bring as an innovation to Romanian football. Steaua has always promoted the skillful, free flowing and spectacular football, played at an amazing pace, which brought the nickname "The Speedsters" for the mid 80's team . That STEAUA team became the first ever Eastern European club to win the highest trophy of the European Football, the "Cup of the European Championships" (or UEFA Champions League as it is known today). In the 1990's, our club's team won the domestic championship of Romania for 6 times and represented the country 3 times in a row in the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE competition. All together, STEAUA BUCURESTI trophy cabinet is by far the richest in the country, as our team won 23 domestic titles, 20 National Cups and 5 Romania's Supercups.
My favourite series is InuYasha, because it has a good story that combines fighting and love mixing the ancient and the modern Japan.

I could never get into InuYasha. I watched the first few episodes and it just didn't appeal to me. I know a lot of people who enjoy it, though, it's a very popular series.

I'm a HUGE fan of Azumanga-Daioh, Excel Saga, and Love Hina. I'm a real fan of the weird, offbeat light humor anime series, and that's why I really like these ones. They're just so damn CUTE.

I'm an anime fan! I have a lot of series I like, so it would be hard to name a favorite. I suppose Boogiepop Phantom is one of the first that comes to mind, followed closely by Ruin Explorers. I could look around my living room and list all the animes I see offhand, but that would take a lot of typing.

I have a lot of favorite animes and they all belong to different genres. I have some fave in that and some in these. There are just too many to mention so I guess I'll just include some :-). I am currently watching "Naruto", "He is my Master", "My wife is a high school student" and "Romeo X Juliet" and I like all of them. Some other shows that I like are "Ghost in the shell", "Vandread", "Love Hina", "Avatar", and my most memorable anime, "Rurouni Kenshin". I don't like to read manga simply because I hate reading so I just prefer to watch these manga in anime form. Anyway, these are some of my favorites and I hope some of you like them too. ",
