I gave him something.

Honestly, I get really upset when ever there's a homeless person in our front area. It's not the first time, but we had experience bad in the past. Specially when they abuse and try to test your patience. I could have gotten rid of him but it rained. So I went to my room picked an extra umbrella, sweater and some clothes. Gave it to him and told him to go somewhere else were we'll call the cops. But when I went outside, glad he was gone but he threw the clothes I gave him and left his trash Maybe I'll just call the authorities tonight if he comes back. Tenants claimed he was insane.

Hello @Dyvette16 I don't know, I would seriously feel guilty If I had gotten rid of him at the height of that rain.

Maybe he got insulted that after giving him some clothes you told him to leave and threatened to call the cops if he stayed in that place. That is the reason why he didn't accept your gifts/donated clothes.

He has no right to feel insulted in my opinion. It was insulting enough that he didn't take his trash with him and left the clothes that weren't really used. He shouldn't comeback or I will call authorities on him. What makes it frustrating is that the tenants did nothing...

Government should see to it that these beggars are given shelter.

@Letranknight2015 They need therapy.

They are mostly given shelters like lands with house and titles. But then some would just rent the house or sell them then go back to the streets @allknowing they can't get rid of their habit.

By LK2018 @Letranknight2015 That is too bad he did not see that you were doing something nice for him by warning him to go somewhere else and giving him the warm clothes and gave him the umbrella. I take it he used the umbrella and kept it. I hope he does not come back and takes you at your word that you will call the police on him.

But consider this: If he truly was homeless, where would he store the extra clothes? You can only cram so much into a grocery cart or backpack.

Maybe he needed some cash not the clothes. I remember few days back I donated clothes to a beggar , he went but next day I found the clothes being dumped in the garbage nearby my home.

Suppose to be we should feel pity for them but honestly I feel upset too for people like that and some beggars that always ask for money. I just remind myself I should be kind to them

Hello @averygirl72 Before I did that I was at the gate furiously staring him at him hoping he would leave. Then the rain dropped by and had to give him something so he could leave. No, i won't do that twice.

It is better not to give the guy anything or they will continue to come back to request for more things.
