Grilling while on Vacation

While staying at an Airbnb that we stay at several times a year I decided that we would not eat out at for this trip. I wanted to grill all of our meals and lets just say these meals have all been better than any restaurant meals we could have gotten in the area. Some of the new things I tried were sweetcorn smothered in butter a little sugar and basil, peaches with brown sugar and cinnamon, grilled pineapple and ham kabobs and brown sugar and bourbon chicken kabobs. That's just a small list of some of the foods we grilled. I love how grilling transforms foods that I wouldn't normally touch into delicious healthy meals. Cooking all of our meals at our Airbnb has been fun and has saved us so much money. I will make this a habit every time we visit here.

Wow! I am very happy for you on this very special get-away! My entire family of 9 plus grandkids had ours (at the foot of the mountain cottages) last Arpil 16th 2021. It was wonderful!!!!

@snowy22315 yes, its cheaper, cleaner, larger and more private than getting a motel room. The one we have is two stories, has a full kitchen, wrap around deck, two bathrooms, wrap around covered deck and a fire pit. Also has a creek next to the property where my son likes to catch crawdads.

Airbnbs are so much better than staying in a motel, just my opinion. We have stayed at several different ones but the one we are in now is our favorite and we come here at least four times a year staying a week at a time.

Glad that you saved lot of money. On a lighter side, you can save money if you are good at cooking, else you can't. And It depends on person to person, some women love to cook even during an outing, or whenever they go on a vacation. But for few, vacation means a complete relaxing time and like to order from restaurants. Its the fun and love that matters, and am glad that you managed it well.

We never stayed at an Airbnb, but we often rented a Motel suit where we had a separate bedroom and a kitchen so we could prepare our food if we did not want to go out.

We use to have grill our food when we have a family get together or while being with friends, mostly chicken with little bit the spicy masala..
