Not the kind you want either. An hour ago the fire alarm went off in the 300 building where I live. All three parts. Normally when they test the alarm, it's a quick buzz twice and that's it. This time, it went off for several minutes. I went to the office to find out what was going on. They sent someone to turn off the alarms.
Last night we had another intense storm. I watched the news when the lights flickered, then turned off and unplugged the computer, and went to bed early.
This morning I learned about two tornadoes not far from here that touched down around 6 PM. There were downed trees and power lines. The weatherman said not to go anywhere in the dark because you couldn't see where the live wires were. I took off my swimsuit and stayed home.
When it was light enough, I decided to walk the trail to get the needed exercise. I was the only one on the trail at that hour. With good reason. It was 6 AM. I'm glad I wore the shoes I did. The creek overflowed its banks and the trail. There were also two downed trees. Aside from being a feast for mosquitoes, I wished I had my camera to take pictures of the flooding.
I've been doing my usual walking every hour. It's getting muggy and it's supposed to rain again today. It's starting to cloud over for it. It's supposed to be as intense as it was last night. I just checked the weather report. Storms are due in a couple of hours.
That's my day so far. This kind of excitement I can do without. How's your day going? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me from the trail on a better day.

That is nice. My day has been pretty good. I got some amazing deals which I wrote about on my discussion. It sounds like your storms were rough. I hope tonight is better.

@just4him Wow, more flooding and maybe power outages too. It doesn't look like rain here right now..I am going to look at the radar. I hope we get some cooling storms.

Sorry to hear you got some excitement you didn't want! I'm just glad you are okay and safe.
I would have been very annoyed when the fire alarm went off. Well, not annoyed if it was a real fire, but annoyed if it was a false alarm. It never fails that things like that happen when I'm trying to sleep or nap! lol

Doesn't sound like much fun. I can understand why you would want to do without what you experienced. Good thing the tornado did not hit where you were. They make big messes like all of these dangerous things that appear in our paths.

That was smart to stay home. You're getting your workouts at or around home. I've had days like that. Power outtages I can do without, too.

I wonder what caused the fire alarms to go off that way? You've been trying to walk every hour? That's great. I'm hoping to get back to planet fitness some time soon. Maybe after supper tonight unless it's raining or storming.

my day is good now, but the weather is so erratic, mosquitoes are also starting to appear in this rainy season
when I see your photo my soul becomes calm, like the sensation of a forest piercing my body and giving peace, I think I fell in love with a shady rain forest, with green leaves filling it
Surely the leaves rustle when the wind blows, I think the atmosphere in the picture is very comfortable
I want to go there if there is a chance

I'm glad you enjoy the photo and reminds you of a rainforest. It's only a wooded area along the trail. It's beautiful and full of mosquitoes with all the rain we've had.
