Going to Visit Covid Country

We just made reservations to fly to Florida. Our condo needs a thorough cleaning. Our son and his girlfriend are coming to spend the night before she goes on her final dive for her scuba diving certification. She tried just after a tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Rhode Island a couple of weeks ago, but she had a panic attack. The ocean was all churned up from the storm, and she couldn’t see her hands in front of her. Our son figures it best to get certified in crystal clear turquoise water, hence the trip. Afterwards, they will spend the rest of their long weekend visiting a couple of national parks. We will be there January 10th to the 24th and flying straight home. Not too thrilled to be in Florida during Covid again with the covidiots.

I intend to. We can cancel the flight 24 hours in advance for a full refund if it snows or due to covid. Hubs wanted to stay for a couple of months - he who used to hate Florida! Go figure!

I will double mask and keep away from our friends, too. We also are able to get a full refund up to 24 hours before the flight if it snows or covid worsens - or I chicken out

It's so sad, i absolutely LOVE Florida and we used to go there every year for vacation but I'd be very afraid to go there right now. I must say they managed to elect the biggest idiot after Donald Trump as their governor! I hate to say this but it's almost as if he wants to kill off some of his own constituents for political reasons.

I agree with everything you said! Our permanent residence was changed to Florida a few years ago, but we are so out of there for now. I’m afraid of returning, but perhaps by January the covidiots will have expired.

i hope you are very careful (but i know you will be)!!!!! perhaps you could get a vest that has pockets for lysol, and just replace the cans every 20 seconds or so, spraying everywhere you go. Florida is CovidScary now.

I will be careful. We can cancel our flights for a full refund at least. I will keep an eye on Florida instead of Connecticut from now on. Huge fear of having to be there.
