I haven't found any news about China. The newest thing that I heard is having three children in this country. The Chinese government encourages young couples to have at least three children. It sounds like young generations are low in population here now. Any news that can be beneficial to all of us? What's new in your country? Image Credit: china-briefing.com

That is what I read. They had the one child policy during years. Women aborted their child when it was a girl because they wanted a boy.... not they lack newborn babies.

Those traditional Chinese people prefer baby boys over girls. They condemned the usage of ultrasound in checking the gender of their unborn babies. It is because of this reason.

@Shavkat I know, it is the same in many countries where women are still discriminated.

I guess it backfired when they only allowed one . They can encourage, but that kind of decision is really up to families.

I think there is only so much that this planet can withstand. We also create artificial demand for things that are not really needed. This is solely for creating jobs that pay taxes and keeps the whole government system alive. We need a serious rethink on this. Why must government need so much money? With as much tech at its disposal, you would think government can manage with fewer buildings, fewer employees.

I agree. A decade ago, I also questioned why they need to have a one-child policy. Now, they are experiencing the bad outcome of it.

One-child policy was a fiasco. This three-child policy will be another fiasco.

@eileenleyva I agree. It has been their dream a long time before the pandemic. That's why I am thinking that this coronavirus is deliberately done.

Everything is controlled by CCP,people totally lose the freedom and human rights.I'm not surprised they will implement the Three Child Policy. They just treat their people as the cattles.Breed more or less babies,it all depends on their mood. I really wish God can help Chinese people out of this hellish situation.Once Chinese people could touch many free and new things under the rule of President Hoo,but now this country totally moves back to Mao's period.I don't know what to do,i only can keep the hope that God still has the mercy on this country and the Good will win the Evil in the end.

I cannot speak of anything but to have freedom of speech in your country. When I worked in your country before, I was so careful not to say things against your government system. I hope that it will happen in the future.

I think government has no right in controlling individual's privacy. It should be up to the individual. I agree that the country is over-populated, what they can do is arrange an awareness programs instead ordering the law.

I personally think that this is like a family plan thing. However, it is the opposite purpose as compared to other countries. You are right that it is a matter of choice of the young couples.

They are still overpopulated but the young generations need to be in high population. As of today, the old people population is so high as compared to the young ones.

You said it right. Last year, they also implemented the two-child policy. It seems they are desperate to increase the young generation population now.

@Shavkat I doubt if that is the cause. I think they have their forecasts on their table, and find monies to be short going forward.

I didn't know about the three children policy there. Here in India government emphasize the couples have two kids because of the increasing population here but they are not strict, if they get strict hopefully our population may be controlled in few years.

It seems that they lack young ones now. They are scared that manpower will be the reason for their downfall.

I read that too. A few years ago people were saying the earth is overpopulated and now they are saying there will be too few people in the future.

I find it weird. I hope it is not because of a coronavirus outbreak in their country. They are not releasing much about the coronavirus situation lately.

How did they expect to have enough young people with a one child policy? Of course now they need to have more people

Now we encourage you to have three children, but we don't force you to have children. You can have one, two or three, but no more than three.
