Steamed food is healthier than oil fried rice but the I always seem to choose anything that says fried. I wonder if my body needs more oily food to balance other elements inside because I was told that our body always asks for the food it needs. But on the other hand I also think if it's just because I like it very much :P

Humans are naturally drawn to food that is bad for us - salt, sugar, fat. We need a bit of all those things, but not much. Personally, I don't enjoy fried foods - or salty foods, for that matter, I do like some sugary foods, though. I do agree that our body tells us what we need, but we pick our preferred food rather than finding a healthier option that contains what we actually need. Did you know that beetroot is a good alternative if you're craving chocolate? It's because it contains some of the same nutrients. I also believe, however, that humans are lazy. It's much easier and quicker, perhaps, to fry something than it is to prepare and cook something healthy.

That's amazing! I didn't know about beetroot. Thank you. I believe that in a way when a human chooses a food that isn't healthier they want to clear their karma that is to balance their positive energy and negative energy by putting their body through some trouble. Also a human eats that which is considered unhealthy, knowingly since it is challenging to find good in something that could be bad. Humans like to challenge themselves but I believe one must have that kind of a strong mind if they want to find the good in it. But then sometimes I say well, it tastes good :D :)

@SaranyaWhite yes, sometimes it's just because it tastes good! I think a lot of us just go with what we're used to, what we grew up with. I'm quite adventurous when it comes to food, but it was a while after leaving my parents' home that I really tried a lot of different things.

I think it is because you like fried foods. I do to and limit what I eat.

Our body, mind and soul is purest when born. So babies and young children go for what is good for the body. They don't overeat or go for sleep even in a noisy room because the body demands for it. As we grow up, we misinterpret those needs. We ignore the body for the real things that it demands. We go with our convenience, comfort, and liking.

@SaranyaWhite You are so right. I often say that we need to follow and learn from new born and young babies. They are born with those virtues which get lost once we grow up.

No wonder I love babies for that reason :) I wish a human mind appreciates that which is true within us, what we really want

It's ok dear. If you eat in certain proportion, it's fine. However, eating it daily isn't healthy

We have our own preferences yet there are healthy ones to try...I was able to talk to a lady from the mountain and asked her about the secrets of his parents reaching old age and she answered they don't typically cook with oil and instead they boil or steam food such as vegetables.

It is very true. I've heard such stories about people around too. It is absolutely healthy to have food cooked that way
