Anyone decorating a tree yet.I know some people have put up Christmas

I know some have Christmas trees up, or other decorations. What kind of decorations do you have? We had some up for Halloween. We don’t have Christmas up yet,but some people have outdoor decor up—lights and other Christmas items. Here is an example of an ornament from Kyrgyzstan of Kamala Harris, our Vice President.

We have the same small, white plastic tree that I bought when I moved here 7 years ago. We haven't put it up yet. It usually goes up around the beginning of December whenever we have time to clear a space for it. I've forgotten what the decorations look like 
I like silver and blue/purple. A lot of our decorations have been lost or broken as they were old and cheap. There are one or two special ones that were bought for or made by my children, but even they might need to go soon. My husband and I were thinking of getting a new tree and decorations this year as they would be 'ours' rather than 'mine'. We can't afford to do that, though, so we'll stick with what we've got for another year. We plan on putting the tree up next weekend.

@Aquitaine24 I'm sure we did things like that when I was young/when my children were young. The youngest is 16 now so the children aren't too bothered about that sort of thing! I think our tree is too small for too many decorations but I'm sure I could find some pine cones and things to put on.

That is nice you can use the same tree. This doesn’t seem to be the year to buy a new one, with the inflated prices. Have you tried using items like pine cones,mossy branches,metal lids,and other found objects as decorations?

We don't actually decorate a tree any more--we just put up a little miniature tree a few weeks before Christmas. For my wife and me, that's enough to help us get into the Christmas spirit.

Those are a good idea. My aunt and uncle use a small live tree for this.
