I Was So Shocked

I was so shocked to get this news. My BFF had been in a care center after a blood clot in her leg. She was doing fine. Then I see on FB that she had a heart attack and died yesterday morning. (Her family would have called me but didn't have my new cell number) I am crushed. She was such a dear and I loved her like a sister. I have known her since I was fourteen or fifteen years old and am seventy now. She always treated me like family and so did the rest of her four brothers and two sisters. She had a big family. We used to have so much fun in the old house they lived in up off Hill Road. I am so thankful for the myriad of memories I have. When her family moved to Oklahoma she followed. Sure missed her. She came to visit about ten years ago when a close relative died. Her brother brought her and we got to visit for a couple of hours. We did communicate on FB a lot. My thoughts go out to her bio family and having this happen at this time of year. So very sad.
She will be missed.

I’m so terribly sorry that you’re dealing with this loss. My prayers for her family and friends, including you. Sometimes friends are closer than “family.”

Oh no, I am SO sorry. When I was reading this I was thinking of my best friend and what if this had happened to her? We have been friends since we were 10...almost 52 years. I hope the memories you 2 made will help sustain you through the grieving process.

Thank you. I have been reminiscing a lot. I hope your friend has a long life and you don't have to go through this for a long time to come. Did you hear that Betty White also passed? So sad. She was such a dear.

@Kouponkaren .....She made it to 99 though and that is something. I am rather glad she gets to be with Allen now. She had talked about that.

@celticeagle WHAT? No! I just read she was getting ready to celebrate her 100th birthday in January. So sad that she didn't make it to that celebration. But she did have a good long life and was loved by many.

There's nothing i can say that can bring comfort to your and her family's loss but at least you have fond memories of her.
