Early Edition- New Year's Eve It's "The Final Countdown," just like the song recorded by the band "Europe", as we conclude our trivia series on body part songs. And to find a song which fits this quiz I used a video song by John Mayer called "Your Body Is A Wonderland." That's because were focusing on several different body areas with our song titles today. So, here goes, enjoy the tune as you figure out what wonderful body-titled songs will pop up on this final music series quiz... Whodunnit- Name those songs and artists: (Remember words in quotations can provide hints to the music trivia answers) 1. The "opposite" of the word "good" is "______." And did you know the human adult body has "206 of these" and they can really "hurt when broken." If you know this answer you have a "piece" of the song title. If you "use these 2-word answers together" with a 'common phrase" used to describe "pure evil," you have the complete song title! This artist popularized this 1982 track which was adapted from a Bo Diddley song, and he created a modern blues classic with this tune. The artist recorded and adapted another blues classic in 1985 to follow up today's mystery tune called "I Drink Alone." The song was a cover by this "blues lover" of John Lee Hooker's "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer." With his "high-energy boogie-blues" sound, this artist became a rock staple of 1980s radio, recording older blues classics like "Move It on Over" and "Who Do You Love?" -Do you know the name of this blues guitarist and his song with a body-part in the title? 2. This song title has a body part that provides us with an "outer protective covering." Without it, we would be susceptible to germs. This body part can "get burned" if you don't cover yourself during prolonged periods in "the sun." Frank Sinatra popularized this song before "this Jersey Band of 4" covered the tune. Title Clue: when someone irritates or bothers you, they can really get under "_______________." In this song the meaning is twisted around where instead of irritating the singer, the lady has gotten to him, but in a way that makes him crazy about her. This group wrote a lot a songs about relationship problems among them, "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Dawn (Go Away)," and "Working My Way Back to You." -Do you know this group of "Jersey Boys" and the song title with a "covering" for a body part? 3. I used this band in a previous quiz when the body part title was "Legs." This time the anatomy title this "Texas group" is talking about is another slang word for the "Fanny or Butt." In the song lyrics the singer repeats this phrase: I ain't askin' for much I said, Lord, take me downtown I'm just lookin' for some "______." This "booty" song was the first national hit for these boys from the "Lone Star State." This "trio" uses an "iconic car" in their videos known as "The Eliminator." That same "Hot Rod" is pictured and is also the title of one of their LP's. Final clue: Lets "Give This Group Some Lovin," and figure out who they are and the body part their singing about. -Do you know this "Sharp Dressed" Band with members who sport real "long beards," along with an affection for songs with certain female body-part titles? Ok, let's take a "body count" and score some correct song and artist answers. If you're stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. Or as Randy Newman would say, "You've Got A Friend In Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I will return with a new music trivia series in 2 weeks. Hope you can wait till then, lol. Stay tuned... And Happy New Year!!! Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com

1. Bbbbbb-bad, bbbbbb-bad! I guess some would say that President Biden is the new “Delaware Destroyer,” but heck, he’s older than George, so that makes Thorougood the “new” destroyer. I know, that comment was supposed to be funny but it was bad to the bone. 2. You hardly think of Frankie and the boys with that song. It’s more of a Sinatra tune. But for me, I remember an episode of M*A*S*H where Trapper John was singing it in the OR, and Frank told him to shut up right before he got to the line, “Don’t you know little fool you never can win.” It’s funny, given that the surgeons were literally “under the skin” of their patients while Trapper was singing it. 3. That little ol’ band from Texas who sadly got littler this year with the passing of Dusty Hill (who sang lead on that song). An interesting thing that I read on Picky Wedia is that tush meant “lavish” in the old days. I guess I’m not as old as I think I am because I always knew it to mean a woman’s rear end. Best to you in 2022!!!!

This would have been a great campaign song during Biden's run for the Presidency. Hey, we should play this tune anytime he comes on TV to explain his latest policy decision Great M*A*S*H reference! I agree, the older "Frankie's" version can give the "body" goosebumps Ah, Tush = Lavish? Got to love those double meanings Have a happy and healthy New Year my friend
