The New Stove Has Arrived

I suppose it would not be right of me to post earlier about getting a new stove and then not post about the new stove. In any event, the guys arrived around 830am this morning, which was good because we still had some errands to run. Our window was between 7am and 11am. I was sure they would come closer to the 11am time, but they surprised me. I was going to keep the old stove for my brother in law for scrap, and told them over the phone I would have them put it in the garage. When they were here I told them I would open the garage door and move my wife's car to make it easier to maneuver. They said excellent. And then still drove off with my old stove in their truck. Oh well. lol. I have a new one and I don't care, and if my brother in law really wants the money I will give him $20, about what he'd have gotten from the scrap.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking too. The grates come off and you can clean those in the sink, and real easy to get any fallen bits out of there. I think this will be good.

I am confused. How did the drive off with your old stove if you told them you were keeping it? What brand is the stove?

@porwest How did he manage to do it on his own lol? Isn't it too heavy to lift?

@porwest GE is a good brand.

The new stove is GE. I think what happened is that the other guy not installing the new one never got wind of what the intention was. By the time the guy inside the house finished installing the other guy has already wheeled the old one into the back of their truck.

@CarolDM Not sure if I will ever use the griddle in the middle, but I am sure it can come in handy for a few things. I will have to see.

Thanks. I really think I am going to enjoy cooking on it. Even has an air fryer option in the oven and a steam cleaning feature which I think will come in handy.

@JimBo452020 Yeah, apparently you just pour water into the bottom trough and hit the button that says steam clean and it sets a timer and a set temperature, buzzes when it is done and then you apparently just wipe it out. Haven't tried it yet, but it seems like it could work pretty good, especially if we are regimented in our use of it.
