It is practically the end of January!

I honestly do not know where the time is going these days one more day & we will be February. I guess the saying time flies when you are having fun. So where have l been for a while? Mainly looking after the grand children who are keeping us busy. We look after Devil child every morning before she goes to pre school in the afternoons. She has not changed much but is determined to give me a run for my money on the teasing front. When l speak to her she turns her head away as if to ignore me. My wife told her off for being rude to me she whispered to her 'it's ok l am pretending'. She has a fabulous character telling my wife 'he is off again talking nonsense' when l speak French to her. Occasionally she will answer me back or just tell me to speak English. She cracks me up so much. Well over Christmas l went on a cruise to the Canary Islands & on New Years Eve we were in Madeira to watch the fireworks at midnight. The captain turned the ship around so everyone got the most Brilliant view. I have never seen such a firework display ever. The whole port or Funchal was lit up with the display it was absolutely magical. On the journey down to the Canaries we had to sail through the infamous Bay Of Biscay & true to it's reputation it was a really choppy crossing. Thankfully on the way back it was as calm as a mill pond. We also called into La Caruna in Spain where we took a trip to the pilgrimage city Santiago de Compostela. It is a beautiful town & the Cathedral is beautiful. It contains the relics of St. James, one of the Apostles. Thousands of pilgrims make their way to this place every year, some walking for hundreds of miles to reach the cathedral. The photo is of the cathedral
