Hello everyone, just a short note to say I’m still hanging in. Still staying with my daughter. Still crushed but having more good days though I had a panic attack Sunday. It didn’t even make sense but these days many things don’t. I know I have to allow time but I am getting rather impatient with myself. I’m usually so decisive and in control, this isn’t like me. I hurt my knee last week no and spent days with ice packs trying to get the swelling down, it is a little better now which is a good thing. Still waiting for SS and Pension to sort out!! It’s actually pretty warm Here today, in the mid 40s, things are starting to melt. Someone wants to rent my Florida house, I’m considering it. I’m taking everything slowly, no serious decisions for at least a year. On the bright side lots of writing assignments are keeping me busy as well as My Kitchen Rules an Aussie food competition which I love. I watch all of the episodes of Ghosts, Ted Lasso and Morning Show and I discovered the Great Canadian Baking Show. Yes I’m a recliner potato but I expect when spring comes I will be back at the YMCA doing my thing. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive. It means a lot to me.

I have panic attacks over next to nothing. Then, something major happens, I handle it fine! I pray for your knee, every day:) SS isn't in a big hurry, they are afraid you will receive a nickel too much! It's about 20degrees here in Michigan, a bit warmer. Spring will be soon, an amazing change for everyone:) Stay safe, love, Kharla xo

@BelleStarr My mother received shots in her knees, years back. I don't think this helped her pain.

Sorry to hear you are slow going and with that knee now Belle. I hope you won't be getting those panic attacks often, or none at all..they are horrible and take you by surprise. I love that photo of the doggos. That SS is so slow omg. Glad someone is wanting to rent the house..I pray you get someone decent.

@BelleStarr That is a good thing then as who knows who you could get otherwise. I so wish I could have gone down there.

@RebeccasFarm I can rent my house through our management company, they vett the renters and even collect the rent. They rented it for me twice before.

I am sorry for your knee, I hope you are getting better now. Take your time to decide if to rent or not, I know that it's hard to let people use your home.

I really do hate the thought of someone being in my house.

@BelleStarr - I could not let people use my house. I am very picky with hygiene and how I take care of my things. Sometimes you spend more money to repair than what you get renting.

Thank you for the update. I’ve been thinking about you and keeping you in my prayers. I hope someday to be able to have lunch with you again, but I understand the need to take things slow as part of the healing process. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with in regards to your Florida home.

@BelleStarr Anything I can do to help, just let me know. You wouldn’t be imposing at all, so don’t hesitate at all if there’s anything you need me to do. And I look forward to a future lunch with you!

I'm glad you have your daughter to support you. I give you kudos for making it through a day. I couldn't be as strong as you are. I hope your knee heals up soon. We are buried in snow and can't get out. We will have to have the drive plowed and sidewalk shoveled. Hubs thinks he's going to shovel (he's 80); but I won't allow it. Take care and PM me any time you need/want to talk. Hugs. I think about you all the time. P.S. Are those your dogs? I'm so jealous! They are so cute.

Glad to see you here. It's good that someone is interested to rent your Florida house. You will get some monthly earnings through it.

You and Al shared many years of love and life together, it is only natural that you spend a long time adjusting to life without him at your side. I love your reference to a being a recliner potato, our couch has recliners on either end, so I can be both I suppose. Your daughter and her sons are lucky to have you there. I remember after my first grandparent passed, my grandfather came to live with us for a number of months. I loved that time and it drew us even closer.

Yes we are are a big support to each other I think. Yes Kasey has the same type of soda but I have a recliner in my bedroom too so I can hibernate when I need to.

Your sentence about many things not making any sense really resonated with me. That was me 3 years ago, but you'll find that things gradually get back into kilter. It takes time to accept what has happened

I have never been able to get into any of the survivors shows, too cutthroat for me I guess. But I’m glad you are enjoying it. I liove an Aussie accent and actually have three cousins down under.

@BelleStarr the Aussie accent really is unique and I like it too. I have enough trouble understanding my relatives who live in Massachusetts

Oh! Those cute fur babies in the picture uplift the mood at one glance. Sometimes it's better to take things slow and relaxed. Things will slowly settle down. I am glad that you have enough on your list to keep you busy.. Take care.

Can you rent the house month-to-month so it brings in income but isn't a burden? Sending anti-anxiety thoughts (and a couple of Valiums) your way.

Every day is different when adjusting to a loss. There are days I get through ok, then another day a smell, a memory, a song will activate my memories and it's all I can do to get through. Praying for you and your family
