What did you have for breakfast today?

I had my usual bacon and egg for breakfast today, but I put a twist on it so my usual breakfast doesn't get boring to me. Once the bacon was done, I added some olive oil to the skillet and lightly browned a few small slices of Sorrano pepper and green pepper. After I added the egg, I topped all off with a slice of Brie cheese. It was actually quite good! Do you sometimes do "twists"? (potential set-up alert) The photo is of a previous breakfast. That day I added leeks, mushrooms, sharp cheddar and....something else...

@TheHorse Yes it was very filling indeed . They say breakfast is the most important meal for the day. Do you agree?

A big bowl of oatmeal and and English muffin with egg. Also a cup of crappy tea that had a distinct flavor of coffee grounds. This was at the Centre.

I sometimes twist things up too as I get bored of the same thing. I had toast for breakfast with my coffee this morning.

Did you have butter on your toast? Buttered toast is one of life's little joys for me.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. Wait. Wrong analogy. I love eggs! I actually like pigs too, but they sure are stinky.

I can see it. I wonder what's going wrong. In any case, it's just bacon and an egg with stuff mixed in. I am trying to have egg and bacon every day without getting bored.

I do make a few changes occasionally. I usually have a scrambled egg with a green salad and toast. Sometimes cornflakes with milk and strawberries or buttered grits.

All sound good to me. When I read "grits" I peeked to make sure you really are from the South. I'd have grits now and again when I lived in Southern Indiana.

Hubs doesn't like change or "twists" in his meals. We go the routine route. I had a protein bar for breakfast.

I had a protein bar at work the other day. My Supervisor provided it. Sometimes our guitar teaching schedules are tight and don't give us food breaks.

@TheHorse I make it myself because I don't like it sweet. It is lightly sweetened with maple syrup, but my husband thinks it needs to be smothered in honey to be edible.

You are getting fancy with your cooking . I had my usual green tea and later a handful of dandelion greens. Then I caved and had a few Valentine's Day cookies (raspberry shortbread heart sandwich cookies with raspberry jam in it - from TJs).
