A Special Day

I had a wonderful time yesterday with my son and his family. We had dinner at the Golden Corral . It was buffet style and they had loads of food to choose from. Of course I had a plate of veggies and for dessert, my favorite pecan pie and peach cobbler.
It was neat visiting with my two granddaughters. The two year old is cute as a button. She started chanting, Go Anna Go, in perfect rhythm. It’s a game they play when she’s tossing balloons around cheering her on. So she’s repeating what she hears.
Anyway it was a very enjoyable day. Next weekend we will go to my other sons home for dinner. His wife will likely do the cooking. In that case we’ll all take a dish of food. Today it’s raining and I’m waiting for it to stop so I can go to the gym and mailbox. Hope you all are having a nice day.

I am grateful that the cable company did fix the internet connection problem that started last Thursday for reasons that I have no idea what caused it since other than cold weather that was not freezing may have caused the internet disconnection for three days.

@Deepizzaguy An outage is bad if you work online. So sorry about that. I hope you didn’t lose too much income.

@kobesbuddy I think that’s the perfect age. This little girl always has a smile on her face and she sits in her high chair and eats like a little lady You can tell I’m a proud grandmother.1 person likes this

We have a Golden Corral here. Nice to visit with your sons and their families.

@celticeagle There is so much I could do. I could paint, work on organizing my pictures and journals. I have a trunk full of material so I could start a quilt but instead I’m sitting here mylotting and communicating with you guys. It’s just that I’m used to walking and getting out to the gym.

I'm glad you enjoyed your day.
When I was trying to get Pretty to say "Daddy" my first wife told me I'd regret teaching her to talk... I will admit there were times when I wished she didn't talk so much, but I've never regretted teaching her to talk... yet.

@RubyHawk I'm glad it worked for you.
I couldn't only eat vegetables and fruit. I do have a crockpot with veggies in it to go with my salmon later. I'm sure I'll have lots of leftovers as the crockpot is full. I have zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and onion in it. I've never cut a head of cauliflower before. That was fun. (I'm being facetious) I made quite a mess with it.

@just4him I can have everything yo have listed but broccoli. I put all those veggies in my stew and add corn. My crockpot is medium size and I have enough to last three days. It saves cooking and I always have bread, eggs and a cucumber salad for breakfast. I don’t spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I also have fruit.

@Courtlynn We liked Sweet Tomato but they closed last year. The Golden Corral is the next best.I don’t believe I’ve seen a Country Buffet.
