Another Day in the Life

It was another beautiful day. I worked this morning sorting out my poetry and trying to get in in order. I enjoyed reading bits and pieces trying to decide which goes where but I still have so much work ahead. I went for a long walk by the creek and enjoyed the fresh air and scenery. I stopped at the deck and watched minnows swimming in the water. I’ve never seen any larger fish but the minnow have to come from somewhere. During all this rain trees roots have loosened and trees have fallen across the creek. I thought about walking across the creek on one of the large logs but I didn’t quite trust myself. It wouldn’t hurt me if I had fallen because I’d land in the water. After I’d eaten I sat on my deck to Mylot. Now I’m finishing up for the evening. I watched Big Mama on TV. I love that movie. I also watched Sister Wives which was not very exciting.

It’s a regular series about four wives in a plural marriage. It used to be interesting but it’s getting to be old and not as interesting.

@askme123 In this case it’s four women married to one man. They have many children. It’s not fiction. Its actually the way they live.

I'm glad you had such a nice day. I saw the trailer to sister wives and it didn't seem to be all that interesting, I sure as heck wouldn't want to be one of them.

Sister wives used to be interesting when it first came on but now it’s boring. No, I-would never be in a plural marriage. I wouldn’t share a husband.

@LadyDuck The creek does have sharp rocks but there the bottom is sandy. I was more or less kidding but it did cross my mind.

It sounds like it was a good day for a walk. Our lake is full of minnows. It has lots of larger fish too.

I'm glad you enjoyed such a beautiful day and was able to take a nice long walk along the creek. It hasn't been warm enough here to sit outside but i'm anxiously waiting for the warmer weather. Thinking about walking across the creek on a large log made me think of my childhood. We lived by a brook/creek and played there almost every day. Many times we would run across fallen logs to get to the other side.

We had a creek in our pasture when I was growing up and we did the same thing. We also lived by a creek when my sons were growing up and they played there. It was all lots of fun.

Yes, it’s always good to be careful. When it rains a lot and the ground gets soggy the roots can loosen.

@RubyHawk I really like the series Castle. Best seller author Castle, with Mayor as a buddie, gets to observe NYPD, Katherine Beckett & ends up helping her. Castle has best seller, Heat Wave, about Beckett.

Not really the logs close to the water and at that point the creek has a sandy bottom.

Thanks, thats why its so much more pleasant walking outdoors rather than on a treadmill. Although I do appreciate a treadmill during cold weather.

It does give a feeling of accomplishment when we get things in order.But it will take me forever to finish it. I still have more to print. At least I’ve started the project.
